mirc question

Bored tonight, I went to log into mirc and join #daoc.prydwen...but i get the following message

Cannot join channel (+r)

As a total newcomer to the software can someone enlighten me as to what this means please!

means you need to be registered and authorised with Q

/msg q hello

and follow the instructions that Q replies

once you have your password (will email it etc.)

/msg q@cserve.quakenet.org auth Yourname Yourpassword

then you will be able to join :>
