I was wondering, if you train slash up to 29 ( amy slash ) is the to-hit bonus good enough to leave it at 29? Or should you really go for 39? Or could you also go for something in the middle like 34/35?

Thanks in advance :)

Edit : Fully buffed, that is.

Well what char is it for?

For somthing like a pala amy slash is all u reli need, ur a slam/end/guard bot to be honest... same with armsman/scout/mincer

if its for a merc/majour melee class (inf ect...why slash inf i dnt know) i would imagine you would go higher... however merc have more skill lines so im not tooooo sure....

Yes, for my paladin. I was wondering this because I want to be able to hit stuff properly, but Amy slash has a very high to-hit bonus so that's why I was wondering if it's enough to spec 29 in slash and no more ( with a +11 bonus and fully buffed though ) and still be able to hit things.

my setup: slash 39, chants 48, shield 42, parry 15... works well both in grp and soloing (this means with good template and well set up RAs you can solo about 60-70% of enemy players; not Catacomb classes though, they're all far too OPed)

I wouldn't mind trying 29slash 42shield 30parry 48 chants to be honest, strong defence. :)

I heard that when you have high shield, you should have low parry because parry goes before blocking and you don't get any parry reactionary styles...

Mainhand spec determines to-hit chance on shield styles oddly enough. So expect to land less slams.

just some info i got when i asked about this.

"A mythic grab bag a couple months back said that shield styles landing weren't dependant on weapon spec but a lot of people swear that it does effect it so who knows"

if you really wanna look at an answer that has some facts behind it please check out Here

that link was about weapon skill affecting blocking... he was talking about weaponskill affecting the chance to land a slam.

As a scout of 4 years I can safely say that landing a slam does depend on your weaponskill.

My heroine has 28 blades, I taunt fine in pve. not advised to go higher anyway, on rr5 it will be 43 blades so decent as it is.

Have to have 50 shield and lw/cs. Unless one wants to be a 0 dmg type hero.

As for paladin I guess you should go for 39 as you can't switch to a 50 spec 2h weapon ;p.
