and as for LOTR, I'm still resisting the urge to watch it

I've just started book 6, of which I've never read before, and its quite amazing I must say. I dont think the film can live up to what I've read. Especially because, when reading the book everyone individually pictures what they think the characters look like based on the descriptions of the author. However, the film has people who you've seen before, in different roles.

Personally seeing even the trialer of the film, made my thoughts of Elrond change, because when I saw the Elrond in the trailer I immediately thought "Agent Smith". Then I realised hes an actor and plays loads of roles, and then thought pah he isnt worthy to play Elrond.

Same for Sean Bean and Boromir, whenever I read references to either in the book now, I instantly see those actors, not what they "should" look like imo.

I prefer reading the descriptions than seeing a portrayal.

Tis just the way I am I guess..

I'm also dramatically disapointed that there will be a LOTR game, that for me will also spoil the whole epic feeling of LOTR.

The only game that would be worthy of the book would be so detailed and close to the imagined world of the book, that it may as well be reality.

So instead of me saying I want a wicked LOTR game, I've now started to say I want to live in the Shire
