Migranes!

I had the pleasure of 'inheriting' these from my mother and my god, I just had the most painful migrane ever. Constant throbbing for about 5-6 hours; could not get to sleep and had to sit by the side of the window with fresh air rushing it with a pillow over my face to conceal the light.

So so nasty!

The worse thing about the little bugger was it happened so quickly I couldn't get a couple of tablets in early enough to prevent it.

Does anyone else suffer from these? Any over the store tablets you've found particularly poignant? I'm lucky enough to only get 3-4 a year, but my mum had them every single month and it got to the point where she had brain tests etc. as they were so damn painful it was leaving her in tears.

ive only had 2 migraines in my life, and the second one lasted for 3 months.
as for treatment, i found sitting in a sauna or steam room was a temporary relief for some reason.

Imigran worked and worked good but not after a while, Syndol is great but you must take it before you are having a sleep as it has a muscle relaxant which makes you zZzzzzZZzzzzz. I am on big fat cocodomol pills off the doctor now and I aren't allowed to take Imigran because it clashes with my anti-topping-myself pills :D

Someone mentions Feverfew in my thread and that has definitely helped to cut down the amount of migraines I have, although I had one for 2 days this week after eating pizza (cheese) and then chocolate, my fault I know and it was almost worth it :D

I've never had a migraine, but I think if you only have them in the safest place possible you should be ok.

Migraines are like a constant drill in your temple and oh my god they make me like a bear with a sore cock, I pity the fool who annoys me when I have a migraine (usually Samm tbh).

They take away any sense of fear or anything other than the pain, I could easily stop my car and punch anyone who annoyed me when I am migrained up, I reckon the shoe bombers suffered from it. It really is the only thing in your life when you have one, sorrow, happiness etc doesn't matter....just the......pain.....THE PAIN

That's probably because the heat improved your circulation and reduced the swelling in your head.

Never had a migraine, bad headaches that make me feel sick I tend to get a lot though.

Sounds more like "the blob" than a migrane...

1. Get bucket of water
2. Get bag of ice and put into the bucket of water.
3. Insert head into water and leave for 24 hours.
4. Migrane cured.
