how many times do u have to ask for a grp ;)

Jeez there were nuff people there and how hard is it to get in a grp, runie cant solo at all...

No reason not to fill ur grps, even if they are lvl20's, dont affect ur rps. Remember a fend runie is pretty damn good defence ;)

ever thought those people are just used to not grouping because they DONT want realm points?

i never group unless i'm really needed (usually my minstrel more than anyone else). because as a ranger, or a minstrel i can get realm points easy, casters adn stealthers tend to give plenty, so each kill you get is more than i'd like, adding group realm points on top of it is just too damn much.

with my minst i go solo hunting shdowblades VERY effectively, with my ranger i can snipe casters, archers etc.. for ages and get loads, i dont want group 1rp's rolling in constantly on top of that :(

problem with soloing in RvR...

Why do u want to keep your realm points low? Is it a problem with being kicked out due to high realm points? IIRC you have a 1000 limit before not being allowed into BG1, 2000 for BG2 etc. The limits are there to stop very experienced people just raping all the noobs who are trying to learn, if you are reaching the cap then you should leave for the good of everyone in BG.

Soloing is fine, but can be a nightmare for support classes who are constantly asked for buffs, rez etc. when they are busy trying to look after and rez their group and keep power available for their group. It often seems that soloers want the benifits of being in a group, eg. buffs, support and rescue etc. but don't want to help the group.

I know some infils / scouts feel that they are not welcome in groups but I always try to get a balanced group with as many classes as possible, this allows the group to be as effective as possible by using all the different skill groups available.

Maybe I am just not fully understanding the situation, I am afterall only new to the game. If I have this completely wrong then please let me know ;)

i'm afraid someone's been telling you porkies matey :) once your in thid you have only 350 realm points until you can't port back in again.

the other two battlegorunds are dead and empty, thid is the only one worth bothering with, and with only 350 realm points till cap, means grouping isnt really worth it, even soloing i managed to rack up nearly 70 in about three hours :( i have made sure i slowed down since then though, problem is that the casters and stealthers usually give 4rp's each :( and not 1.

you hit 350 and you're out.

by the way i may add something else, you may not know but from what i've seen only about 30% at absolute most are there "learning" rvr, most people already know their stuff and are playing alts, thidranki really isnt an rvr school, it's a sort of play ground for people who like a more relaxed rvr so they make alts and take them into there, why do you think there's often really good organization, it's because the people in here are the one's who have mostly opted out fo the emain zerging, but have enough experiance to know how to rvr properly (no offence to any emain zergers, nothign wrong with emain, but it doesnt suit everyone :))

personally i like thid, you can get lots of solo 1v1's in there, very enjoyable.

and because it's not really an rvr school it means that it's perfectly viable for the "fast rp cappers" to stay, having good opponents is what makes it worthwhile, they're the one's who give a decent fight :)

P.S. which do you think is the best way to learn rvr? against others who dont know how to fight? or against experianced players? i solo battled with my minstrel against my first eldritch last night with my minstrel, guy on pryd called epoc, got owned totally :) why? because i hadnt thought of all the skalds that killed me when using my eldritch, now being killed by that light eld instantly reminded me of how i already knew to fight them in future, BUT, if i'd killed him easily (he owned me because of very good tactics i may add) i probably would never have thought of it, and would have some very serious problems against them in future. but now i dont :) (ps, elds are actually pretty easy, just gotta stop em casting :D, i forgot this and was nuked like a box of micro chips :))

thank you

Cheers,

I didn't realise that 350 was the limit.. in which case I too am aproaching it fast ;)

Thank you for your insight on the other BG's and RvR in general.

/bow

I have to agree that Thidranki has been a lot of fun, I will be sad to leave, but being my main character I really must level beyond 24 at some point :D

Charonel, all casters are easy, unless they're level 50. Epic armour really makes the fight take too long. :p

yeah but they're insanely tricky if you forget to use insta's like me :D he was a light eld so quickcasted the aoe mezz catching me and the pet, then nuked, stunned, nuke, nuke, nuke, nuke etc... :) silly me :D but at least i remember those me (eldritch) vs skald fights, gives a very good insight on how to butcher them :D just forgot that's all.

well, nobody in thid has epic armour    but i have a full set of duskwalker chain so i'm happy :D
