hmmm... how can you say mids suck ? Mids just dont stand a chance vs. big albs zergs...

2 things about mids in BG1 tho
1st we have no organization at all so even when we stand a chance @ doing anything we will somehow fuck it up.
and as said before, we hardly have more than 20 people in BG even at peak time so thats another downfall

Theres only 1 way to beat the zerg. To zerg back. Its really quite simple, wait at tk for a few ports, invite everyone coming out of tk to a cg, all wait there until there are abut 3fgs, then zerg.
Instead everyone heads off to mb in small groups, and get wiped on the way. A litter of corpses from atk to mb, and fools spamming "res plz" in cg. Its a joke.
Zerg or be zerged.

You guys reckon I should level my 18 skald to Thid or not bother? Would it be worth it? Because I can't be bothered to level a char to 24 and realise Thid is crap atm.

Regarding the 'Alb zerg'. Yup, this does happen a lot, too much for fun really. But, in the last few days, and I've only been back in bg for the last few days, there seems to have been similar sorts of numbers on all sides playing (mainly a little later on).
I think the albs have the edge on both mids and hibs atm and not because of greater numbers. I don't know but it seems we are a little more organised at the moment. Everyone seems to be playing their class well, the healers heal and rez quickly, the infis take out key chars and the cabby's and sorcs create chaos but mainly everone seems to be supporting each other.
Out of hib and mid, I'd rather fight mids, the hibby's casters hurt like hell
Anyway, just my observations... prolly have plenty of disagreement

I have been playing Thidranki mostly on Alb/Prydwen. Although there is still the same problems with people not wanting to group etc, as soon as I ported into Thidranki 9 times out of ten I would get a cg invite. We would mass at atk, then zerg whereever we thought the action was. If we didn't have the keep, we would try to take it.
What do the Mids on Excal do? No cg most of the time. If there is a cg its mostly smartarse shadowblades spamming "yeah I shotted a <insert random alb/hib class here>" or some dumbass troll n00b going "CHARGE" "LETS TAKE TEH KEEP".
If the Mids in Thidranki atm represent the players who will be in 'real' RvR in a month or 2, then Mid is doomed.
Stopped playing my shaman there really, its boring and not much fun having people shout at you "RES PLZ" "HEAL!!!1" "DON'T BOLT, HEAL I DO THE DMG" even though I got more dmg output than almost anyone there.

I left many cgs because of this reason.. One of the most annoying things in the bg. Especially when they start telling everyone to stop pk camping so that they can camp it theirselves and get all of the kills, then they expect skalds to group with them for speed... :sleeping:

mids have no leadership
it goes in cycles.
often these cycles coincide directly with either me or slip slipursson levelling a new char there.
i dont say this as a braggart, but when i port to thid, i ask who cg to about 6 people while in on pad.......often no1 makes 1........so i make 1 myself...........then we organise..............and kick some butt.
people are too lazy, or stupid, or both, to make a cg, and group up.....................the only time i have seen mids take the keep is when me or slip led a raid, and brought rams from vault or frontier keep. (there have been 1 or 2 other occasions, dont get me wrong, but i wasnt present).
i have a level 12 SB atm, my hunter has capped, and to be honest, ive kinda lost the will to level any more chars to thid right now (perhaps a weeks layoff the game will reignite my love for it)...........because lately.............trying to lead a raid, gets you nothing from abuse, from the self same people, who are too lazy and stupid to start a cg themselves.........and yes.......guess what.......those are the same people spamming for rezz too.
roll on PvP............so i can get some proper guild XP and RvR groups.....if that doesnt turn things round........well.......time for a new game methinks.

current standing - 4 attempted keep raids as leader (75% success rate).......and for that, i thank all the hard working mids, tanks, casters, healers, ram makers, door repairers, archers and any1 else who helped........me, i just sat back and shouted directions.

18 to 24 goes really fast i'f your in a good group.
I did 18 - 23 kinda quickly in Muspelheim, less then a day.

This is the same reason I rather fight mid than alb, alb casters hurt like hell too. Add the lovely squeeling sound of a troll that can't hit me hard at all and my day is complete
No offence meant, I'm just surprised how soft other people hit me. Thinking of that, whats the average damage you fellow tanks do? I'm a wee lurikeen champion that has a 100 damage shout every 10 secs, and a big fat sword hitting leather for 150 dmg, chain for 100-120 dmg and plate for 60-100. Add dex/qui/con/str/attack speed decrease shouts and my slow sword hits just as fast as the slowest one-hander you lot use.

Actually he's not. I was on Mid/Excal till recently with my warrior Ironwolf and Sammy (zerker) helped organise a ck attack really well. He knows his stuff.
So nerr.
Although it would have gone better if people had listed to him and stayed in tk until we were ready instead of dribbling out to get massacred in increasing numbers by the alb zerg and moaning for rezzes.
What's been more worrying is while playing an alb I've noticed that more than half the sb's are as thick as pig-poo. When they worked together they're an unholy terror, but the ones that try to pick off one caster sitting in 3fg of Albs and are promptly turned into roadkill are just daft.

i did begin my post and try to say im not bragging, just observing.

I was never "rp horny" in Thid, why would I want to be? Just leads to faster capping, I'd just rather get my own kills than be a speed slave to other Mids and get one hit on an enemy before everyone else jumps on them and kills them... That's the definition of boring imo.
