mids and hibs

could someone please tell me why hibs and mids decided they NEED to team up to kill albs? arnt mid already powerful enough? yeh i know alb did it but the reason is obvious why alb needs an alliance with another realm.

erm wot are you talking about? hibs hate mids.. we would never team up with them... Also only ppl who need to team up with someone would be hibs as we have far less numbers than either of the two realms, but we're not gonna cause we're doin fine as is

Last night, Shamara, Cirdan and I went to Odin's Gate with the intention of going killing some Mids in Yggrda. At the milegate, we found a high level Mid finger-waggler and a medium-level Elf finger-waggler. They were very clearly co-operating, and they teamed up and killed us (yes, we fought particularly badly, but it was late, and to be honest, we were a bit taken aback by this clear fraternisation). So it clearly is happening on Prydwen, even if this is an isolated incident.

I don't really care but I seen Hibs/Mids camp AMG in Odin's several times togheter. Maybe just some friends having fun so no biggy.

Heh reminds me of the time i ran into 3 yellow con Mids, about to kill them to save a grey elf, and the grey elf interupts my nuking Forced to kill him I got ganked by the Mids, /sob

It happens, could have been friends , could be a chance meeting, could be that Albion is seen as a bigger enemy by those people than each other.. ( i believe albion are strong on other servers)

but i do not know of an alliance between Hib and Mid, there my be random truce's (where bashing Albs seems more attractive)

and prehaps some hibs are unhappy how they were treated during thier "alliance" with albion...

Yeah guys, it's just a case of a few friends having some fun, so don't stress too much over it. It's not exactly a realm alliance or a big conspiracy against the albs, so think nothing of it :]

how hibs were treated? it was hibs who flipped out first. ive seen mid and hibs teamed up in odins and emain and they were totally different names

Well, we were also duelling a little bit, not just smacking albs into the ground, although we did do that a couple times Even Talath the albie came and duelled with us a little too, as i say, was just a little bit of fun with some friends on an otherwise quiet night...read no more into it.

You would think that Albions would be happy just to be on 'top' for the moment

You got pulled by two enemies - no offence gents but you should have expected both enemies to attack you - I would. Its a nice surprise when I dont get ganked by an albion - I certainly dont wander around expecting them not to gank me. I certainly DO kill any albs I find hunting hibbies in our frontier (if I can - not easy as a wussy druid!)

i wasnt pulled my two enemies, i was hit by one mid and then a hib joined in then they both danced with each other so i didnt release i stayed around and watched them do it a few more times, on both occasions.

Still you can't call two small incidents like that alliances.... Alliance is when the whole realms are helping each others. I can with total honesty say that I've never ever been prescent in any situation that could ever be seen as an alliance on our side. And I've been around since open beta. Nore have I heard of it. Sure, I've been a part of a few duels and such, and even not attacked when a groupmember said it was his friends we met, but still it isn't an alliance.

I do however remember on multiple occasions that there were both albs and hibs camping our pk in Emain without attacking each other, but that is a long time ago.

Well, just be careful with running around yelling "Alliance!" every time you see two enemies not attack each other.

to be honest while an alb i never really killed hibs unless they attacked me, since midd was on top i didn't think it was that important to slay all hibs. on 4 different occasions a hib had saved me from a mid force by killing ther midds healer, he's bow then walk off. sorta like having an avenging angel.

Now i'm a hib, and i am looking forward to killing my old albion friends, but if i see one of them being attacked by a midd i'll help them (no one kills jadow, nala or hendrick but me)

Oh please, isn't this a case of the pot calling the kettle black? I can count on all fingers and toes the number of times I've been ganked by Mid and Alb groups working together. I can also mention that Hibs and Albs have ganked Mids on a few occasions too. It happens, usually when some friends meet up in the frontiers or someone points out in IRC that a particular realm/group is acting like a bunch of fools.

While small groups may work together at random times I can say with absolute certainty that the realms are most definately not allianced. Vive La RvR!

hmm if u call that an alliance well all realms r cooperating etc earlier today genius(cleric) and I teamed up trying to kill a large force of hibs in emain that doesn't mean mids and albs r working together well in that case we can dump rvr cuz we have no enemies

Read it again, please, i never called it an alliance i said alb and hib had one and i could understand that, i was asking why are mid and hib helping each other if mid is already much more powerful? sorry now i do realise i must have phrased it wrongly

mili: Still Mid and Hib aren't helping each other. At least not on a large scale. There might be some small isolated events where they did, just as Zarff just mentioned, but not bigger than that.

And, on a side note, I might mention that I don't belive that Mid is still the most powerful realm on Prydwen. We MIGHT be roughly equal with Alb, but not more powerful. I would even go so far as to say that Alb is stronger as of now, and will be even stronger, but only time will tell that...
