Midnight Caller...

I used to remember watching a programme on BBC1 called "Midnight Caller" about a radio show that did viewer callin's. I found this programme a joy to watch and now thinking about wonder if there are any radio stations on DAB in the UK?

Why? Well to be honest, I am getting bored of listening to music when getting ready to go to bed, I don't want some political bollox either, just normal people ringing up and talking their own bollox which i can relate to.

Any ideas?

There are plenty around, I've heard them late at night while I've been driving around the country, but I don't know about DAB stations.

Try 'news and talk' on the genre selector in WMP9.

finding somat like midnight claler is gona be hard, didnt the main lead use to spend time out side his show saving peeps/ shooting beating up bad guys and shaggin a good looking gal each ep?

One of the local Radio stations has an evening phone in show, in a similair vein to what you were asking for. Here is the website for the radio station 'Metro Radio' and the show is called Nightowls.

Try Jezza's Confessions on Capital radio. It's a pretty good call in show, where people can phone up and talk about anything they want, and the guy gives a fairly honest straight up opinion of their problems and tries to offer some basic advice.

It's on from Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 1am.

I used to listen to it when he was on Virgin radio, while doing late night shiftwork, and it can be quite an interesting show at times, and sounds like the kind of thing you're looking for.

Try Talk Sport, in the evenings they generally get you to phone in and talk bollox about anything other than sport, as for Jezza's Confessions, I couldn't stand it when it was on virgin, the people all need to speak to a psychologist rather than a DJ.

hmmm, that reminds me of a script from a tv series, perhaps Ally McBeal or something like that? I'm sure I remember something like that....
