I dont post a lot on FH due to it being a vicious abyss, but i have played DAoC on and off since beta and never have i seen the game in a worse state. My opinion on this is, yes mids are hurting atm, albs dont feel they should make sacrifices due to 2 years of OF where RvR was pointless unless you were in a vv.good rvr guild. Cant really blame albs for this, midgard dominated with their GG <Mael, BO, EL etc> for along time, if this was due to their "leetness" or OP tools is subjective. As for hibs, they curled up into a lil ball with thier fronteir being used as a 24/7 war zone in OF. As a whole realm Hibernia is the realm i respect the most
Mythic should spot the pattern of midgard falling behind on servers all over the world and do something about it!!!. Mythic are always spastically heavy handed where little change is needed and rigid and inflexible where changes are needed. Remove relics, reduce size of NF, reduce number of keeps so they become more valuble to compensate for loss of relics, get rid of insta porting, favours big realms like alb too much.

ahh i merely assumed it after you whined so much losing constantly, then stopped playing in a bout of qq, pretty sure you moved mid too, but i guess that doesn't count. must admit you gave up so long ago i can't rememeber what order your middy stuff came in compared to alb

I once pulled the stats of 'needed' classes in both midgard and albs on prydwen out of RvR active (5K LWRPs min so as to avoid having buffbots listed) lvl 50 characters, removed stealthers out of the picture, and I can assure you it was looking a lot prettier for Midgard than Albion, skalds and shammies were a little above the 1/8th mark each, det tanks made up for 1/4th of the active pop, healers like 1.6/8th, rest a mix of remaining classes while Albion had 1/16th sorcs, 1.3/8th clerics (with the occasional bot above 5KLWRPs in the list), 1/8th det tanks, way too many pallies etc. Making a balanced group always takes time, but Midgard was looking much better on their class distribution back then.

A useful point. However healers do 2 jobs for mids, healing and CC (which is why they are so overpowered). If you add your stats together for sorcs and clerics it comes to slightly more than mids healers.

However I do also feel that the stats are not entirely relevant, if a class can walk into any group surely they are likely to earn more rp? I would love to play my warrior however that requires me to be with a decent group and the chances are they will need a healer more. My warrior aint got RP for a few weeks where my healer got 5k+ rp per day even while in leirvik!

If you really wanted to compare them maybe "average rp earned per player for each class compared to the average rp earned per player in that realm" this would at least show you which chars are more in demand but we don't really need proof....

The support classes are pretty gimped but nescessary and I am pretty sure thats why we have so many buffbots and they are in so much demand for rvr groups.

Hard to lose when you got three good healers(snoz,valgair and joor were the best on pryd by a long margin) and two tanks that did near the same dps as a toa sc'ed caster does right now...unless you were facing a higher rr/equal rr enemy fg.(pe/eclipse)

Mids in NF have been dissappointing, leave bled bridge and come out often, you got good classes still and can make solid fgs with anything really if you got 2-3 good healers and a good shaman.I really wish more people on prydwen would rvr more but seems to be getting less and less by the day, be good if people rvred like the old days and didn't care what class you was or realm rank.(although toa sc'ed and mls can help a lot for groups)

I think only 30% or so of prydwen rvrs...quite sad :/

Yes, too little action if you are talking about good enemy FGs, but there is a lot of casual pickup groups zerging around. That was my initial point in this thread, i.e. that it is funny how Albs and Hibs whine about Mids having given up RvRing when I practically never saw a single decent Alb FG and only one decent Hib FG out in RvR last week while both the KN and SC groups were out, as well as another mixed high-RR Mid FG. Oh, yes, both the Hib and Alb zergs are strong these days, but that's hardly grounds for celebration when that's all you do.
