Midgard pure melee rvr ?

With the exception of BC's sm group does any GUILD on excal still run caster groups at all ? i know Soth mastered the art of pbaoe group's(irl mate was sm in soth) so did Domination (never saw em fight but heard only good things about em) ... has it turned into PURE random group's with the stdy 3~4 guildgroup's using the 4 seer's 4 viking's setup ?

Ahh k, didn't know, thought ur SM was the property of the ppl, for powerlvling in malmo

H&S will run pbae groups as soon as I respec back - but still a week or two until that. Gonna try it anyway

But maybe you were only referring to RvR guilds?

FoM tried a Mage group this morning.. didn't go that good

We meet 1 fg hibs.. Tears mezzed them.. and boom they group purge and they mezzed us

And our SM's didn't have purge etc

But we only had pac healer + shaman .. no mend healer :/

The group was 3 sm's, 1 rm, 1 thane , shaman, healer... yes we were only 7 and no skald

Refering to GUILDS in general, as i got no interest in random pickup groups running mage, as the group setup and such groups r more often than not, random ...

But then again we rarely run in Emain.

Skald
Supp SM
Supp SM
Warrior
Warrior
Shaman
Healer
Healer
Healer/Dark SM/PBT ( depending on who's online )

Any comments are ofc welcome

That was the setup or something likes that we used i The Domination Great setup, if the ppl know how to play the classes etc

We did well in TD, just a shame that 5 of my mates has left the game ;(


And I will probaly be back in the game in a month, have a lvl 20 norse SM again... and then I will make a guild again, with that setup... thats more fun and needs more skills than fotm

bc stopped making pbae groups since both sms went rl and stopped playing (dunno for how long :/)
cba to make pbae group from scratch now
respecced healer to melee pac, but keep 2 respec stones in case they are back ^^

I would love to make a fixed RM group, but I dont know if a guild is possible...

Maybe I should just put a fixed RM group recruitement somewhere here in MId section, after Ralgedi respecced to 48RC we havent had a single one because I dont know any other full dark RMs.

As arnor said we where running rm groups and did very well, and ill be rdy if we start it again, may it be guild or just friends who play together... Need something new in this game soloing gets booring with so meny infils around.


But ill bet that its not casters you will lack if you try to get it up and going, rather seers since most allrdy are perfectly happy with the fotm setup since the rp comes fast and easy

i would be willing to respec back if we get a fixed group, but cba as long as 99% of the time in this game i spend solo or keepstakes.

imho as a darcarver i can kill stuff solo pretty easy, but with pure dark it was hard ^^

Anyway get a fixed group, and ill go farm me some respec stones

Have tried all spec's with RM now, and dark was the best by far when we had rm groups going, my best times in RVR ever, except mabe early FS days

atleast what ive heard, that if u use speed u loose the pets. or am i wrong?

if im right, trade skald to another healer imo, or a sup SM.

Yes you are wrong. Pets get the same speed as the group, but you loose your pets if you sprint.

Well i see this:
Bonedancers which are supp specced send pets for bard/mincers whilst spreading out, healer spam mezz.

Predeterm BD is MA, and targts a good target like bard/cleric/buffer, rest of BD´s assist, and drain target dry in seconds.

I dont have a 50 BD but have one i am gonna work up i hope to try one of these out sometime.

My guess is this grp would do quite ok, not uber but OK.
Well if the grp worked well together it could very well be uber imo.

If u get a GOOD player to play warrior 1 should be enough .. and the way to go with these day's capped resist and aom1~3 on everyone, and baod in SOME hib group's debuff is the only way to go imo ...

aye, I agree. 2 Warriors is just 'lazy mode' ( redundant and will not have as good healing or damage output as a healer or SM would ).

I'm very tempted to run PBae groups again - someone donate a RA respec please!
