Too true. I aggree with what you're saying, however i just don't think the history has any relevance, and i think the arab states were as much to blame as Isreal.

L, you are incorrect. Despite the obvious fault, that it is Isreal which is the most religous state in the region, i don't believe religion is why there are suicide bombers in Palestine.

Religion gives many people security in their lives. I myself do not have a religion as such. Some parts of the world have evolved in different ways, the arab world has gone one way, ours has another. I do not know much myself about arab history so i do not know what is behind their culture.

But why do you think or should i say what do you think makes them do it ?
I mean a 14 yr old girl blew herself up she had her whole life ahead of her and also a woman with an 8 yr old child was caught on her way to her goal of sucide bombimg. I mean she had a child and was gonna kill herself and make the child an orphan thats just selfish in my eyes.. the poor child i say

I would imagine yopu've seen the news today, in which case yuu will have seen the pictures of the Jenin reffugee camp.
The chief UN envoy said the such scale of the destruction, it was like an Earth Quake had hit, and i'm inclined to aggree with him. If anything, that scene looks worse than some of the recent Earth Quake disasters!

People want independence, get independence call there nation Isreal, they get attacked caus they are not of the same religion as their neighbours, they win! so they conquer more lands, they stay and ocupy the lands they have taken........First part is democracy at work (good thing) second part is the BULLY part and that is the bad thing.

Whilst I think that Israel is really going too far at the moment (Ariel Sharon was the defense minister when they were bombing the shit out of Beiruit so he has previous) I think much of the blame lies with Arafat. Not only has he failed to meet his agreements to attempt to deal with Arab terrorists he has been secretly aiding them. He's been trying to have it both ways for far too long. Claiming to be a legitamate politcal force rather than a terrorist leasder but behind the scenes making sure the terrorists keep on bombing and providong a revolving-door justice system for those who actually do get caught. Add to that the dithering over ever reaching an agreement he keeps employing and I have no respect for him at all. The palastinian people in general don't deserve what Isreal is doing but Arafat does.

First of all, Isreal was created by the UN, after a vote, allthough it took 2 votes, since the idea wasn't passed the first time. I believe that when the vote was passed, Jews made up only 11% of the population in the British mandate of Palestine, allthough i think that's throughout the whole of the area, and there was a far larger concentration of Jews in the north east. However, i believe there more arabs than Jews in the area designated Isreal.
Besides this, and my belief that the creation of Isreal in arab lands was completely wrong, isreal does now exist, and will exist. Bearing this in mind, the only solution is 2 states, one arab, the other being the Jewish state of Isreal. I have a good, unbiased link, of events before and during the creation of Isreal - It's mainly focused on the experiances of British soldiers there, and the the violence between them and arabs/jews, however it's very interesting. I never realised that Isreal's creation was so reliant on terrorism.

I am not going into how Isreal was created, I personally dont know enough about it. Although I thought I read something like the percentages being 40%Jewish and 60%Palestine during the first war in the area of present Isreal.
Ok here is my question: why dont a people have the right for their own nation? By saying they are not a people, you are mistaken. By defining a people you can use a lot of definitions: race, language, history, religion and land.
Because other people dont mind, are mature enough, want to live with other people in the same nation does not mean that others are capable or willing to do the same thing.
Wolfeeh how much trouble do you expect if you want to migrate to another country outside the EU? Last time i checked you need just a couple of things for the coutries that demand the most: good education, a job waiting or a lump of money.

The religious fanatic part is I think down to the fact that 99% of Muslim run countries are shit holes and have a human rights record far fucking worse than anything Israel has EVER done. Therefore, when life is shit you need comfort, hence religious extremism.

Personally I dont really care what happens out there because the Palestinians bring most of it on themselves and a creed that thinks that strapping a bomb to themselves is a good idea is not a group of people I will be particularly bothered about anyway.
