Some BW servers dont have the mic chat thingy enabled :/

have you tried running the voive tweak.exe? You should find it in your Half-Life folder if it's the latest retail version.

OR

Everyone is just ignoring you or voice is turned off check the settings on the server it should say:
sv_voiceenable 1
for on or
sv_voiceenable 0 for off

i guess u have the mic "record" function enabled in your soundcard settings. Not just playback?
often overlooked and the source of all "voice comms" problems

Infact all the BW CS servers have voice comms enabled and have done for months.

Vox is ok when ppl use it properly, and when they're not talking about how many times they can reverse their underpants.

I'd love to be able to use the voice mod in CS but most of the time I find that just screaming across the house to Buffy or Killy helps so much better

But honestly, I've been put off the talky thingy by the main fact that there are so many twits out there who just abuse it. The last time I tried using it was about three weeks ago and all I got for one map was some guy talking about how big his dick was and the next map another guy making incredibly racist comments against non-whites.

Wish there was a test one had to go through before they allowed you so enable it on your PC
