What is the point in spending so many Realm skill points on purge when a zurg of hibs comealong (NP) and you are mezzed use purge 1 min later mezzed again really anoying.

Waste of ream skill points IMHO ... unless you are someone with demezz yourself. And even then it wouldn't stop the situation you describe, just help your group to win the first time you are all mezzed.

Or mezzed(body) by bard....I use purge, cool im free!...well no The Druid cast AE Root(matter)- so im stucked again..hero use a style that stuns me from behind for 500dmg, and then mana chanter hits me for 600 pr DD.

Well i wont get purge, when i'm demezzed i either fight the rest of the fight, or get stunned, or rooted, and then mezzed again. In my point of view, aom is better.

I used to have purge on my shammy, but it seemed to just be a 'Kill me First button' in 3 months of having it I think it saved me maybe once.

Now group purge, that is a RA worth getting <sigh>

I couldn't live without purge in the stealth wars, especially when in 1.60 every Alb stealther has 9sec stun, 2 of them having it and one having 6sec is bad enough I rarely have a problem with DragonFang or Slam thanks to purge, it's a very useful ability imo. Can't say I've ever been mezz spammed, but then I don't like to do too much large scale RvR (Okay that's a lie, it's just that you can't get any decent RvR groups in Hib unless you join NP or Zerg your way to RR7) All in all I think I'll take purge on all my chars, as I say, I really just couldn't live without it now, helps me in far too many situations to be neglected.

I have to agree with mattshanes there. Determination 3-4 really rocks. Too bad it doesen't affect weapon/shield style effects. That's where purge comes in

Purge can be really handy, but its as said, expensive Though, i think its necessary for CC-classes, and ofc tanks to have it. And i agree that Albion lacks in CC, but when 1.60 arrives it might change that, hopefully.

purge gets rid of poison, saved my armsman numerous times when NS/SB jumped, but in essence in a zerg situation the phrase

'kill me first'

Was a great line.

Ofcourse, you could try 'purge' then stand still...wait...wait.. Oh hello mr enemy you think i am mezzed. you walked past. and then...

Ofcourse with the proliferation of Ae c/c probably wont work

albs have great cc alrdy just no one plays a sorc any more..i dont see why not cos when theyre played properly can generally help the group own most 1fgs

How many times have I not talked about this with people.

People dont wanna get purge to expencive, then there is no point healer getting it. He press purge and is trying to demess he is gonna be first to die. Then how much is the group worth with healer down ??.
Think healer has enough to do mess stun heal root also hoping healer has purge up and gonna demess the group is bit to much to ask for.
Determination 4 is nice but still 8 sec mess and 3 people in the group is dead, yes u didnt die first because u didnt purge and tried to help, but hi I thought it was about keeping the group up and not saving uself.

Purge, Aom , The Empty Mind, How my caster would pick to help my group.

Purge, Determination, Aom , Avoid Pain, How my pure Tank would pick to help my group.

Of course a smart healer would Purge, Insta AE stun, Castable AE mez, start demezzing. Not that I know anything of course...

A smart healer does that IF instean is up and purge is up but if GP and single purge is up u never gonna demess anybody, so u need to RA's on timer to be rdy and hope they dont have 2 RA's on timer rdy.
