I like the intro of 'The day that never comes' and Cyanide is abit, weird but overall I think this album will be leaps and bounds over St. Anger :)

Im pretty pleased with it, i've only heard the new one once, however it sounded pretty good, like a mix between And Justice and Load/Reload. I think the album will be best described as the missing link between AJFA and the black album.

Cyanide is quality though, can't wait to hear the studio recording of that, back to thrash..

Hurah!

St anger was terrible XD but the day that never comes reminds me of an early "Load" album track.

Yeah, particulary the clean intro with the flanger effect. Sounds pretty good, exact same song structure as One, the breakdown before the solo is much alike the one "machine gun" breakdown.

I swear you were the one who kept walking around singing "Frantic" back in highschool ;) I miss listening to AC/DC and Deep Purple of a daily basis :( "Oh, look at Jason, the fat goth listening to the music and not talking to anyone!" :( Such memories.

I'll check this album after tonight, will take the AJFA->Black Album comment to mind when listening.

EDIT:

The live some has more of a "headbangers" feel, which is something I've not found in quite a while. Rather interesting. I'm going to actually buy this (I mean, I could DL right now if I wanted..) on release and give it a proper listen. Should be interesting. - Even though I disliked the RATM/Scratchy type introduction (Which might just be my speakers)

ALSO, because I'm a bastard.. This will never live up to Ride The Lightning or Master of Puppets ;)

There's a programme tonight on BBC2, 11pm about Metallica. Culture Show. Probably available to watch on the Culture Show's website, but not checked it. Its on TV tonight, anyway.

Decent enough documentary, not as good as the st anger one though.

Just listened to one of the new songs; apocalypse something or rather and it didnt really have that awesome feel that im used to with metallica, feels like something is missing.

Note that these recordings aren't studio quality though mate, much lower bitrate. Just nice to hear early previews :) I'm still stuck wondering which one is going to be the instrumental :D

Uhm.. I'm quite happily going to buy this album, first one I'll have brought all year :) 10 (6m-9m tracks) for £8.99 is fine for me ;)

I can't really understand how come someone that creates something, wich has taken alot of hours to make, can be greedy for wanting money for it?.
Ie the napster trial.
It's like do u want to work for free? I do know it's another scale ofc, but the princip is eccactly the same.

Back on topic, i hope the new record will be good.

But nothing can beat the live shit bing purge live albums from seattle 89:) Fade to black!!!!!!
