Very much a fan of both pink floyd and metallica. In fact, if there was one gig I could ever wish I would of gone to (does that even make sense?) it would have been the wall in berlin :)

Play comfortably numb, wish you were here and nobody home live too; one of, if not the most enjoyable band to cover from my point of view. :)

The solo in comfortably numb, the way it just cuts through is imo the closest thing to perfection you can achieve on a guitar. :m00:

Even I'll admit, there are a FEW songs which do sound quite the same. (The Unforgiven/2 don't count) but the songs that are different are usually rather good. (Anything before St. Crapger)

Been listening to both bands since I was like.. 1, so I like them both. =)

I read the book that the video from One is the film of. It's called Johny Got His Gun and is an anitwar novel told from the point of view of someone who has had their arms, legs, as well as a large portion of his face and head so that he can't hear, can't speak, can't see (listen to lyrics :p can't tell if this is true or a dream) and is kept alive with machines and shit. It's a horrific situation to imagine but a very moving peice of literature.

Since reading that, hearing the song has whole new meaning, rather than just being an awesome song :D

It's an arguement for euthanasia really. The thought of being concious but unable to do anything is one of the scariest things in life and nowadays. If you could be kept alive without the machines, even if you're unable to do anything at all, your life still can't be ended. Sod the courts, 5 years down the line you wouldn't be best pleased either, heh.

Strange to think their first ever music video is their most compelling.
