...well
I knew the story of the guild and I also knew that someone had hard feelings against what Troryn did.
My first reason to join MK was, I knew Troryn IRL.
I was told it was a RP guild (and since i love RP - bonuspoints) but ofcouse had to adjust to the fact that there is no such thing as redcon mobs .. They are red-eyed .. and stuff like that.
Now I havent read the post Troryn made at the time being when MK started so I cant quote anything, and since Troryn dont care anymore why should I ?
I dont call LoE for a beggar-guild even when someone asked me for items in cornwall, and I dont feel it was begging ...
Its ofcouse allowed to ask fellow members of a realm for items or money to start your character or keep leveling. We are here to help eachothers and have fun ... well atleast I am, and its not much fun at lower level when you dont have items or gold to support your character.
I just hope that people I help, also help others if possible.
if people comes running up to me and says "Money plz" or smiliar I turn them down. if someone comes to me saying "Hello there, can you spare a few coins for armour and equipment?" I dont find that as begging, but as a cry for help, and giving the guy a gold or two doesnt matter much to me anyway, ofcouse if I dont have any money on the character I'll replay that I dont have any or alike ...
point is: Mind how you ask, or Mind your apperence. Not being guildtagged doesnt mean you are allowed to be an arse.
im sure that 98% of albion-Prydwen are willing to help if you behave proper ...
Is asking for buffs also begging ? well if you dont understand a no, then yes ... if the wiz says he dont have the time to stop or whatever, he is entitled to, even tho I think everyone can stop for 6 sec to cast Earthern Damageadd, and/or MagmaShield.
Thos secs you stop saves the leveling character many minutes, and I bet if you started a new charactor you would like the other wizards to stop to buff you?
None of this is meant as an offence.
I must admit, I dont charge people for drops etc. if they need or atleast can use what I have, which I dont need. But if I of some reason would need to get some cash fast, id post in our alliancechat ( which is allowed ) that Im willing to sell some of the stuff I have collected. If people dont want to buy it, then they dont have to ... noone forced them, but I know some people are willing to pay gold so they dont have to be arsed to do a OTD-mob ... they can pick ... Gold or Time ... up to them!
The only thing I disapprove is people accepting trades if you offer them a sword e.g. but really dont need it, they just take it because its free ... thats too lame ... then you have an item you cant use, but hey it was free ... and someone out there would could have used it now dont have it.
overall point:
There is difference on begging and asking ... but where the line is to be put is unsure, since we all have different oppinions (Thank god, or someone else, for that)
just my two cent...
PS: The officers of MK are now reduced to, the officer of MK, named Toradon, aka Feknol
