Merlin´s Kin is currently looking for new members, we do not care about your age nor your english abilities, as long as you understand one thing

there is NO use of "numberwords" like m8, l8, b4 and so on in guildchat.

we are part of the Chtulu Knights alliance and if you prove yourself an (asset (sp?)) you will soon enough get /as speak ;) (may not seem as much but the CK alliance chat is NOT an RvR only thing, and there are a lot of nice people chatting there ;))

we have 4 members above 30, 2 of which is more or less inactive (TWIS COME HOME), we will try to help our members out as we best can.

any interest in joining do a /send Myrkul or any of the names in my siggy ;)

If i had a new guild i would have made a post saying...

Noob guild seeks high lvl peeps with bad typing skills and lots of cash! :)

i remember such a guild doing this same advertising now they biggest guild on alb hehe ( j/k sotl lads :p )

not anymore, OotKT snatches all the roleplayers anyways :), so I had to settle for being a NON-1337sp34k guild.

if I had my ways words like thx plz and the rest of those silly abbrevations would be banned in /gu also, however that would exclude all but roleplayers which means we would be back to starters more or less....

We're not the biggest (that's loe or ootkt dunno which), we're just the best. :D

STOP HIGHJACKING,

this is actually a serious attempt to make our guild known so that we may gain a few members (/gu is so quiet I have to spam /as with CKAC News reports every 15 mins) if you´re high or low doesn´t matter, if your bad at english doesn´t matter, just be a chatterbox and we´ll get along fine (as long as you remember the m8, l8, b44 and so on rule :))

And the winner of the "Who is the Borg" competetion is....
Order of the Knights Templar with 139 active members, narrowly beating Lords of England's 134 active members.
However, Lords of England has more active characters at 247 to Knights Templar's 215.
SotL easily takes the best guild crown with 21.8 million RPs to LoE's 9.6 million. :D

Well look how many lv50s sotl have to loe and you will see why they have more rp :p but then again loe might not have lots of people who rvr often,even though i have seen quite a few.

Quality over Quanity.... Right now, afaik with Merlin's Kin bowing out as a RP guild, OotKT is the only RP guild precence on Prydwen... (correct me if I am wrong please). But if you give up on enforcing RP rules in your guild, you deprive us of another well organized RP guild. Your guild doesn;t have to be HUGE like OotKT to be fun and well organized RP. But if your goal is to have a big guild, then making it strict RP wouldnt be the choice to become large fast I guess....

Anyways I think its a shame that you gave up the original intention of being a RP guild just because you couldnt get large as fast. If you get some dedicated members and do some events and invite all guilds to them, you could make a name for yourself and get more members who have the same goals as yourself. I personally would not mind having an alt in such a guild to do nothing but rp with. I kinda miss it, as it was very big on Ultima Online (we were always in character playing out various plots centered around our player run town and visiting other towns and rping with their plots).. Another RP guild could allow for more interaction and storylines to develop. We do have the tavern board here which we could post our current plots and what is going on with them.

PS: RE: Taggart ... Our guild is not RP, but has grown lots since i joined it in june. The 30 is nice because we are now a large guild, but still try to mantain the small guild atmosphere, ie helping out new members, knowing most of our guildmates, not becoming a mindless large guild zerg. And we have grown in our number of level 50s in the past month (ie why our rps are growing rapidly).. Me and the other 6 guildmates I xped with hit 50 this past month (we didnt do a lot of RvR, was just mainly xping so we could do nothing but RvR when we hit 50).... so watch out cuz we are becoming a force to be reckoned with :)

you might be right Wylia, problem is there was no interest whatsoever in joining a small rp guild when OotKT was around (I am NOT blaming OotKT, they are just to damn effecient :) )

anyhows some of us still roleplay on /gu and I personally always try to stay IC when grouping with templars (just as easy thrashing Radi (slaveboy(tm)) IC as it is OOC ;)

Heh I love being proved right. I actually left OotKT over the fact that the beggers guild "Merlin's Kin" was invited to their alliance without any consultation from the members. I had a hugely low opinion of them and kept saying to the officers "They aren't roleplayers, they're just freeloaders, it won't last."

And they suddenly stopped being a roleplaying guild and said "Oh well templars get all the roleplayers anyways". Yeah right. Truth is you leeched what you could from the templars and sodded off when you couldn't be bothered to pretend to roleplay anymore :D

It is a guild of (at least former) beggars. Don't join! :)

get over it Jadow, apart from that MK left the alliance again, without leeching anything from templars OR Griffon Knights, you had an issue with OotKT and decided MK joining the alliance was a good reason to leave, well you left so drop the mudballs and leave us alone, NOONE ever forced anyone to give Troryn money, and as far as I know she´s the only tailor in albion working on a NON-profit basis because she ows albion that, I never did understand why you felt the need to pick on MK, it´s not like we made any false promises....

oh and btw Jadow, people that knows me know that I´m no beggar, I have NEVER charged money for a drop, nor have I ever begged anything of anyone, if you consider Troryns posts here begging well then maybe in your eyes I am a beggar, I don´t consider them begging, it´s not like I´m running around doing

yes I did do a "/t jadow hey mate, octanion here, can you spare me 1 gold so I can get to level 5" right after I created Troryn, you can have that 1 gold back if that is what annoys you so much.

Once Rharcyn reaches 50 I´ll start pharming cash with her, anyone who regret giving Troryn money can have their cash back at that point.

You know, what I find really sad is, I liked you, you where one of the people in Templars that really knew how to carry your role 100%.

as I once told you in a pm, I am not one to carry grudges and I have no hard feelings toward you, your opinions is your own, but is it really so important for you to express them that you have to faul the reputation of a guild I just happen to be GM of?

you have never played with me, you judge me simply because I got an idea for getting some easy cash to craft for so I had something to do while Troryn was tending bar, and make no mistake there, I was online 18 hours a day crafting and tending bar in The Stone in the period where I received those money and they ALL went to crafting. after the funds where gone and Troryn tending bar had lost interest for all but a few I started leveling her, I had fun doing it and I would still be doing it if people had taken the time to come by and talk to her, the last two weeks I spend alone in The Stone with the exception of Radi noone else came to talk to me.

anyhows godspeed and fair winds jadow, may your opinion change as I wish not to be on bad terms with you

<sigh> and <sigh> again. Really thought this was over and done with. Ah well.

Personally, I would love there to more more RP aware guilds in the realm, it makes life so much more interesting.

I have had a great time with Merlin's Kin members and would welcome any of them in a group. If we can at least stop the number's talk, it is a start :)

Never mind Jadow octanion, he is just an Olde grumpy bastard that likes to go NOOb NOOb to other guilds and people hehe(no offence jadow hehe) and i knew it was only a matter of time till the olde boy joined sotl. Known jadow since i was but a lowbie and he is a honest guy, wont say shit behind ya back just say it to ya face but he a cool guy(although alot of other peeps hate him hehe) and can always have a good laugh with.

So don't take too much offence to it octanion, Jadow boy just has a guy that demands alot from a guild and there players, thats why he's with sotl cos they got alot of l33t players in there guild just like us in the 30 :)

I don´t mind Jadow rambling about me being a beggar, if he thinks I am that well then let him, he is intitled to his opinion of me, as I am entitled to think he just used our guild as an excuse to leave OotKT.

however I DO mind him saying we´re a guild of beggars, as to my knowledge noone in Merlin's Kin has never begged for anything have you experienced otherwise do contact one of our officers or GM's begging is NOT tolerated in the guild.
