ok i admit mordered is solid but ive parried him 4 times in a row, <when he didnt proc> now i guarantee in a 1 vs 1 situation a pally wudnt of lasted as long as me, its that simple but as i said im willing to prove this fact over and over again =)

But since then in DF using the pallys agro spell i can hold the agro on anything(Didn't help against legion through :/ )

That was a low mordred spawn then. He varies a lot (as do all epics). We've had a 50 pala hit for 1100 and procced for 1200 on a raid before.

parry everytime 4 a merc, with having dw, but u being a pally u need shield ;p and have u seen a lvl 61 shield user guarding a lvl 61 parry?? me and niacin can show u the devastating effects it has on mobs it cant be beat
we can take down a red mob easy enough or 2 high orange cons

You will find that those who don't like certain classes have to go to bed at 8 or 9pm cuse mummy and daddy told them too ;-)

All classes are great non are bad some need nurfing issues re-dressed which seems to be happening by 1.52d.

Paladins and mercs work well together(Paladin,Merc,Cleric > Mid Fort and keep lord)

i didn't say Mercs weren't uber(infact they are the second best melee class in this game behind warrior- being hit for 600 after being slamed was just nasty)

I'm just saying Paladins PvE tank better

lol dan ok thats abit extreme i cant c any1 in the realm doing that with their pally as it wud be gimped with little or no chants or attackin power, but if u want pure defence with a little bit of firepower <from the scout in melee> then ya. but me and niacin stand by our armsman merc combo we wud waste your scout pally combo anyday =)

I didn't say it was a good spec (it's not), just that it was best for tanking. Note scout is there for guard, not damage - with their massive dex and generally high shield spec, scouts make excellent guards for tanks.

Also I'm not really that interested in whether an armsman and merc could "waste" a paladin and scout. Given they're from the same realm I don't see how you could feasibly test that.

The fact remains that paladins are the best tanks, despite having the lowest damage of the 3 tanks, because they have healchant.

i know how you feel Blademasters are always being called gimps 2, even tho heros and champs cant take aggro off us. Its got that bad that i just wonder around looking for 1 on 1 fights to prove myself

Heros, champs, BMs, none hold a candle to the sheer aggro sucking monster that is the heal chant. You can watch mobs running towards the group all swerve towards the paladin, it's amazing.
For damage though the duel wielders do better.
