Lifetap
Numlock
Stick macro.

just had a run in, got him low.. spammed run through, mashed his keyboard up with lafftap, and i got about 50 not in view messages.

Not only playing a pretty shit class, But a pretty shit player.

After 20 minutes in thid.

Mids - Bds, Sbs, and not much else, respect to those who actually play a class that takes a lil more skill

Albs- sorcs, infs, again respect to those who actually play a class that takes a lil more skill

Hibs- Vamps, Baseline stun, NS/Ranger .. once again.. respect to those who actually play a class that takes a lil more skill

I remember running in Leirvik with my melee spec scout.. :) (Was autotraining longbow, so I was forced to..)

I was usually grouped with a sorc, which I had guard upon. I would stealth towards our targets, he'd AoE mezz em all, then I'd slam one and he'd nuke it. Next target. Repeat until we're done.

Worked pretty well. :)

When there was a CK take I had to run because I didn't want the exp and I ran into this little luri a couple of times who was tough as toenails. Both of us were unbuffed so the fights were pretty cool, I think they were 2:1 in her favour. But atleast I killed her once or twice.

Baseline stun is worthless in Thidranki. If I were a hib caster I'd much rather have a mezz or root instead. You've got stealth: just sneak up to him and hit him. You really shouldn't lose.

melee scouts are hilarious. they tend to evade/block every single hit you do at them, and have a very nice 6 sec stun + god knows what else. My skald 2 years back orso lost to one as I couldn't get any hits in ;(

Baseline stun is often the reason i lose in thid due to having no purge and limited det. Remember most casters qc stun, and unless you get a solid PA, your gonna be feeling pain. So many times i get a caster to 10-20% hp, get stunned, then get jumped by whatever stealther seems to be passing or another wandering soloer while i watch helpless.

Try a chanter for example, if you get stunned and they have the caster pet up, your toast. They can just kite and snare you until you run away or die.

Oh, and how is root or mezz better than stun for a caster when facing an assassin? Remember, were not talking insta root or insta mezz, but baseline castables.

True, against assassins a stun is probably better than a root, since after the initial PA they'll only need 1 more hit to finish you, which can be delivered when you're running away on low hp from the rooted target. This wouldn't be the case with a mezz though.

Thing with the stun is that it's such a short duration. With a mezz or root you can gain maximum distance before you start nuking, not so with a stun. I'd say a stun pives you around 1 to 2 extra nukes, a mezz or root around 3 to 4.

On the subject of stun and then getting added upon. Same goes for root/mezz, but the adders get more time to reach you before you can run :).

Enchanters with snarenuke pet would be able to kite even better with a mezz or root. Once you get near the pet/hit it it will go melee mode, so if they had a longer duration form of cc they'd be able to positiont hemselves farther away from their pet, making it impossible to get it in melee mode, with the exception of insta dd.
