melee scout

Am thinking of respecing my scout to melee:

50 thrust 45 bow 35 stealth 8 shield

what are the other melee scout specs?

imo thats a hybrid scout since high bow/wpn.

melee scout would be like high wpn high shield low bow.

Im 32 st, 50 slash, 23 bow, 42 shield.

Jarvio is 50 shield 48 melee.

most ppl go 30 st, 40 bow, 39 slash 42 shield as a nice allrounder.

some rr10 on us servers have 50 thrust, 48 shield

Imo as a melee scout you would want atleast 30 shield.

at the moment I'm more of a hybrid spec with a more melee oriented playstyle - thats:

47bow (still good enough to snipe with)
39thrust (adequate daamge)
34stealth (50 modified)
30 shield (good enough blockrate)

The downside is that I lack slam, and the damage isnt all that it could be.

I honestly dont think you should go 50 weaponspec with high bow, if your going to leave your shield so low. I once went a similar spec, however the blockrate was terrible, and the damage on its own didnt feel good enough (i rarely lived long enough to use it properly).

I was talking to a few people about specs last night, tbh I'm now of the mindset that if you want to be a 'melee' scout, put bow at 40 or lower.

however, as I say, I once had a similar spec, so its all down to what you want to do at the end of the day

what is the damage on bow shots?

Think i'm 44 thrust, 42 shield, 35 bow, 29 stealth.

Gives the snare thrust style, 9 sec stun, minstrel stealth (but with mos) and still keeps rapid fire. The bow damage isn't significantly less than with 50 bow either.
