The laptop has been featured on slashdot, and there are several good reasons to suspect a scam.

You can't buy all the parts in bulk for that price, let alone assemble, and ship it, and still make a profit.
The pictures from the website have an uncanny resemblance with pictures from a taiwanese company named clevo:
