yes hence me trying to get more people on it, more sources = more people using it, which means more sources etc...

I have literally run out of worthwhile things to download. A good thing too, I have under two gigs free.

Still, mediaseek found a few King Prawn songs, which is a pretty good judgement of a fledgling network, imo.

I figure I'll leave it running at stuff, and be generous with my few kilobytes of bandwidth. It really needs a search function that allows arranging by different fields, though. And it'd be useful to know how many results returned.

Still, can't fault them for trying.

Weird, I connect no problems, and today had some people DLing Christ's EP from me, which made me smile. The network has only been up for a few weeks, so hopefully they'll keep working on it, and include various search functions.

My brother organised a gig last week, and got King Prawn to play. £2 a ticket too. He was ska/punk flavour of the month at his uni.

Mediaseek never got as far as connecting, as far as I could see (The Not Connected text being the clincher) so I ditched it. It needs a connect button, so I can try and hammer it, and whatnot.

Indeed, I can connect fine now. But its still crucially not sharing much. Of the three dirs I've listed for sharing - 4000 files - only 34 are actually shared. Which points to it either being ridiculously selective about sharing, or non-recursive dir sharing or whatever.
Its not like I even care to use it to download and shit, but it seems to me that sharing is too much hassle. Baffling, really.

I wonder, when Whistle were writing the lyrics for Only Buggin', what did they scribble down for the sound effects that are the intro? Thar's philosophy in them thar heels!
