Why won't most avatars display for me? And why when i click on a thread, most times 'This page can not be displayed' appears and i have to refresh? And why when i do refresh the colours are screwed up? Bah.

Try this TechNet article. It's a bit vague and doesn't really address your screen distortion problem but it's a place to start.

Have you cleared out your cache? Delete your temp Internet files to start with, young man.

Ooh! Good idea. I'd forgotten about that.
CTRL+F5 Refresh the current Web page, even if the time stamp for the Web version and your locally stored version are the same
Force a refresh, bwoy!

You have a CSS problem - you can see the end of the style tag and none of the CSS elements are working

I would suggest that the CSS's on the forums are dodgy - but they look fine on everyone else's browser

Does your browser work ok on, say, http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/

I had the same problem, it was my ISP's blueyonder and their transparent webchaches fault or something.

Try changing your webcache?

Actually its to do with a compression format that VB uses known as GZIP which makes pages easier on bandwidth. Its mainly to do with how MS have implemented the HTTP 1.1 protocol.
