Your exchange has broadband ADSL. Although the length of the telephone line between you and the exchange is quite long, you may be able to receive broadband ADSL.

Our initial test on your line suggests that you may be able to have a broadband ADSL service that provides up to 512Kbps download speed, but the upstream bandwidth will vary according to the length of your telephone line. It will not be possible to provide the 1Mbps or 2Mbps broadband ADSL services.

If you decide to place an order, a further test will be performed to confirm if your line is suitable, and if so for what speed of service.

Thank you for your interest.

With the current state of wireless I wouldnt bother. Tele2s wireless network shouldnt even be classed as a broadband connection. Ive used all variables and they all suck. If I cant get adsl, then I would only consider 56k or ISDN (if I became sad enough).

I got that same message when I was looking into ditching ntl and going with adsl

In the end I got some help from a nice chap at www.ntlhellworld.com who gave me some good info on changing some upstream as well as changing the nic card settings of all things......all of a sudden my 1mb line starts acting like a 1mb line again :)

But will be interesting to find out if your OK, I know my local exchange is about a mile away as the crow flies, so would hopefully still have the adsl option should my ntl line go back to behaving like 14k modem again.
