Clans/Politics etc

I was in a clan (or order as they're called) in Myth for nearly 4 years ! I finally quit because of politics.

The order had traditionally been about fun rather than ownage, but in our very special chaotic way we had taken on and beaten every top ranked order at one time or another... Admittedly we usually lost on aggregate - but nevermind we had a lot of fun and people loved playing with/for and against BoB.

Now the problem was that I was the most senior active member of BoB, which meant everyone took direction from me. A bit daft & misguided given that all I wanted to do was have a laugh... Anyways another member was very keen on pushing BoB forward and he likes his power games... So he was always fighting with me because I defended the right for people to have fun rather than be some professional whoring outfit.

Eventually this just got too much so I left and consequently BoB pretty much died for a while. Interestingly BoB is still active, albeit in a very small way, and it's members including the whore-driver are playing for fun - not points. So the core spirit remained and even the whore-driver is having to accept that.

I think it's hard to change the spirit of an established clan/order, so you had better be very certain of what you want when you choose a clan/order. Any changes in direction of a clan/order seem to lead to disintegration and a lot of heartache.

I do miss being with BoB, but it got to the point where the politics was getting in the way of fun. I got fed up of this guy trying to score points (and failing then getting angrier about it, trying to make people choose sides etc), hence I left. The sense of freedom was wonderful after all those years of having to be politically aware and resolve disputes... Hence I am not in a CS clan, nor is it likely that I will be given how much I suck. :)

You're free to wear the [mentalist] tag if you like, it's a state of mind, not a clan ! :)

right meh and meh mate from Mi5 (006) have quit Mi5... we quit earlier so we're now Clanless, we maybe lookin for another clan soon, as a pair coz we've been a team since our first clan...

sad to go tho :(

well we had a talk with a clan leader, and it all boils down to, i shouldnt really play for the other "teams" within the clan, i merely volunteer myself and because the guys in the other "teams" are "less experienced" than i :)p) its only fair to let someone else take my place instead of me playin every match that comes up.

And we had a Match against D-J in the Division 2 EnemyDown League, using our STRONGEST Squad we had, we ended up winning 13-12 (1st Half) and 10-4 (2nd half).

And teamwork was excellent, so things are improving

well Itchy offered me a friendly match against his clan (MCNP) may email everyone tomorrow if i aint busy and say "Yip okeyly dokely" and see what can happen..
