Oh man.. what a dilemma.. no matter how hard my Clan try, we are always losing, by big scores.. and i've only been in about 2/3 Clans over the past 6 months, all of which are poor, either one doesnt have clan matches, thus you get bored, or you get clan matches and are always hammered.

Mi5 have too many players now, and TBH they maybe good as individuals, but when it comes to Teamwork we dont havce a clue..

which is why, im thinkin of quittin Mi5, and just goin Clanless for a bit, get some Team Tactics in then look for a decent clan that is decent.

The only way to get better as a clan is to have a load of praccies m8 and keep trying. Also pick on clans you know to be of a lower class than you for a confidence boost. Playing against most of you on the bw servers you all seem pretty good. If you do want a freindly match pop in #a&i.cs and im sure we can sort one out m8. Maybe even regular praccys which will be benificial for both clans.

Super try this (taken from the book Ender's Game)

8 players

2 'toons' of 4, with 1 leader each

in each toon, 2 sub-toons, each with a designated leader.

The idea being that even if large sections of your team are killed, you still have players who can group together and take orders.

How come the teamwork is failing? Is it basic things like teammates being too scared to follow you 'in', or not looking in the right direction, etc.?

I think its just that our team is weak compared to the ones we play, we have had 12 matches and won 2 i think, but because fuckin Enemydown is down, i am unsure..

i have talked to one of my mates from the clan about this, and we both agree that we could do better...

Go to the bookshop and buy 'Enders Game' by Orson Scott Card. Its an absolutely fantastic book, science fiction, I promise you, you won't be able to put it down. It might just teach you a thing or two about teamwork, since its basically about a bunch of genius kids who get sent to an orbiting battleschool to train as generals and soldiers.

The one kid the book is about, Ender, is a genius, and ruthless to boot. Fantastic.

It can be read alone, but there are about another 5 books in the series. Its fucking brilliant I promise you.:clap: :clap:

You've only been in 3 clans in the last six months ?? Look mate i've been in the same clan like 3 years or something. So have many of my mates . The thing is you got to get used to playing with the same people and knowing how they play, thats the most important thing.You're not a professional footballer ! And this aint Man utd ! I used to know Q2 players like that, forever swapping clans to massage their own ego's. Stick with you mates I say.
But learn some tactics, a clan match is not like playing on pubbys, its more planned than that. I only know cos you guys play the same way as us , charge !!! Thats why we get caned a lot too :)
Pardon me saying this, but GG or WP at the end of a match whether you win or lose is the best way to go. Behaving like children just makes people think you arechildren :)

Well there is a lot of uncertainty in the clan... the clan leader who accused your Trem of cheatin said a few weeks back he isnt interested in the clan and doesnt wanna play anymore clan matches...

so if he's gonna be like that then obviously its gonna make moi insecure... and i cant be bothered with all this clan business for the time being, it just bores me..

Yeah man, you read it! You read the others as well? I've just read the 2nd book of Ender's Shadow, the one where Achillies kidnaps Petra.

Ender is one sharp dude.

Well, Super, it sounds like you really should leave. If you are unhappy about such things, and you want more serious play with a 'better' clan, then leave Mi5. Just dwelling at the moment is going to cause you grief.

Like Thoddy said, it's all about m8s at the end of the day, but if you truly want more, then go where you think you should and don't be held back :)

Clanless ain't so bad too. I spent ages being clanless, but finally bit the bullet (and yes isuck, it was a sellout to the sh33p nation :p ). It means you don't have to worry about matches, what position you're in the tables, whether you have to play well to give a good impression of the clan...

Tactics don't much improve tbh though unless you start having 'real' regular praccies and also play in higher ladders/leagues. Like Apex said, regular praccies are fun, especially if you know the people you play against... I think a&i.cs have a weekly thing going on with OAP which is blinding. It's fun too :) FEAR MY BERETTAS!

no, I havn't read the others yet. I only have Ender's Game. Got it as a gift a month ago. I'll be getting the others from librarys first tho. Are they of the same caliber as 'Game?

Yes, they are all very very good. Speaker for the dead is not a standalone book, you then should read Xenocide and Children of the Mind. Xenocide is absolutely superb. All the other books (bar the shadow series) are set thousands of years after the events of Ender's Game, but because of the magic of relativity, Ender and Valentine are still around.

After you have read those, read Ender's Shadow, and Shadow the the Hegemon. Ender's Shadow is all about 'Bean', set at the same time as Ender's Game. Bean is one smart little fecker!
