I need to shot blast a circle shaped tank. The tank is 19.5m across the top and 10.5m deep. I need to find the total square meters of the base and the sides.

I'm crap at maths, i need help! :)

Base: π*(19.5/2)²= +-298.5
Side: π*19.5*10.5= +-643

So that makes +-941.5

If I remember my maths correctly.

Well you just need some basic circle formula stuff here :) To find the area of the base, that's πr² (i.e pi times half the width of the tank squared). To find the sides, imagine the cylinder not rolled up and it would be as a rectangle. One of the sides is 10.5m, but the other is found from the circumference of the cross section, which is 2πr (i.e pi times the diameter). Add these areas up and that's the total area, hope that helps.
