Master Server on Gamespy..

Well.. may as well try it now, coz i cant be arsed anymore adding the IPs individually...

When i go to Gamespy, i right click the Counterstrike Icon in the Top Left, but the Master Server is blanked out why??

when you set gamespy up m8 make sure you direct the path to you halflife folder and not your c/s folder or it wont work when you right click on the icon to add master server put in..

you can use it for free, you just dont get some of the hidden extras.

Yeah, i have tried it for Free, spent about 30mins adding Servers (BW / Jolt etc), i "Refreshed" all the servers, and it said it wouldnt do over 50% (Rough Estimate) because of something to do with Paying Customers

Im going to register ASE one of these days. Whips Gamespy in simplicity.

It just finds games for me when I start it up too, noticed RTCW and Army Ops tabs the other day, I certainly didnt tell it to find them either.

Updates itself.

Basically ASE is the winner.

This is all the more remarkable as I have never paid for any downloadable program before or since !

I used to use G3D all the time but recently changed to ASE after G3D had a number of problems.

Lol Tom. No m8 , but in addition to Cs online, I also play from time to time Q3, RtCW,Operation Flashpoint, Q3 UT, DoD and Very occasionally, Unreal Tournament. I can manage all these games via ASE, and connect to whatever server I like. I can also exec specific autoexecs for each game. And see where me mates are playing and connect directly to the server they are on. Even if i dont have the server listed before my mate goes on it. It even shows me where me mates are if I dont even have the game!
I can keep separate lists of favourite servers for each game. Ooooo, the world of the browser is a happy one !

I have GameSpy 3D 2.5.5.1, only because i can get that one "Free" heh

You would appreciate ASE more if you are on a modem, since scans are far quicker.

you really should have done it a while ago, since now (i believe ) its on a subscription system, so the price has gone up.

Same here m8, its the only thing Ive ever paid for that Ive downloaded. ($19 iirc)
