FS, i followed that Tutorial on UKTerrorist, about creating just a Cube Map.

Ive put in a Few Lightbulb Icon things, and 1 CT Spawn and Terrorist Spawn.

I save the Map, then click on the "Compile" button and i get this Error Message:

** Executing...
** Command: Change Directory
** Parameters: c:\Sierra\Counterstrike

The command failed. Windows reported the error:
"No such file or directory"

It then ask' if i wanna Continue, so just say i say Yes, it will take me into CS, but then give me this Error:

Map Change Failed, Map not found on Server

Where do i put the Map and is there anythin else i should know?

Like the tutorial says, dont run the map using the compile options.
Your compiled map goes in the cstrike\maps

If you note teh earlier post theres a tutorial on setting up worldcraft correctly.

the map needs to be a .bsp for halflife to recognise it...but worldcraft needs it to be a .map for it to recognise it.

when u compile worldcraft auto puts the .bsp in the correct folder for u makesure u have the directrories set up rite it looks like ure map are going into the /valve/maps dir...

just go back and check the directories

and thank the lord that u aint got any leakes in ure map...

(u may have other probs as the map aint even compiled :) )

lol gray :)

was joking son ;)

mapping is quite hard and frustrating, once u actually build something, u will test it and realise that it is so out of proportion !

then there is texturing shish !

forget it m8 thats my advice :)

Maps that play well are based on the design.

Maps that look good are based on lighting, not textures.
