Heh aye, what im interested in, is "attempting" to create a Map of my Old School or my old College heh, altho i was unaware that you needed mathmatical knowledge to create them :uhoh:

Worldcraft (hammer etc.) is probably the best program, as for starting out, youd probably be best off trying to find some tutorial sites which will take you through the initial stages of mapping, our friend google.com should help with finding said sites.

School maps are seriously frowned upon - not particularly PC. If your going to make summat, make summat we can all play ...

Heh, i have this General Idea of what will be in the Map (dreaming)..

Lower School

This has Geography, History, PE, Changing Rooms, Drama, Dance Rooms, which are in a Square Block, and There is a Garden in the Middle of the Building.

There is a Tennis Court, and a Cookery Block Seperatly.

Behind the Building, is Bike Sheds (So im guessing that we could have a few Teens havin a Smoke round there).

There is also a Car Park and a Childrens nursery near the Bike Sheds.

(There is also a new building somewhere there, but they built it just after i left school - so i dunno what it is).

Upper School

This has the Main Hall, French, English, Maths, IT, Science Rooms in this part, The Science Block is 2 Stories High.

Where the main Hall is, there is a Library above it, with the Headteachers office next door.

I guess i could put the Headteacher in his Room as a Hostage.

Behind the Maths Block is a huge Astroturf, where the Students play Football / Hockey etc, they also have a few Containers with Sport Equipment in it, behind that kids have again a sly smoke.

The Science Block, i think i'll put a few switches in here if i can, for instance, the Gas Knobs, if they turn it, it released Gas, and if anyone fires their Weapon in the room, the whole room explodes!


As you can see, i have a rough idea how i want it, but i guess it wont turn out the way i state

Munkey - See thos buttons down the left. Quick roll over will show you the textures and the like ...

... as for your map, I believe it has potential. May I suggest es_box. Ts and Cts have been trapped in a cardboard box and ...

SG - Capping people in schools is how the US got a bad name. What about your local Kwik E Mart or summat like that instead.

This map isnt intended for those "people" its meant for us tough brit guys who dont cry and Romiet and Juliet and all that shit..

also make sure you have 3d Textured view on, its also in the tutorial
