A lot of people worship Z-list celebrities. Mostly other "celebs", students, gay men & women. They can't stick their tongues far enough up. Why not footballers? I suppose if you've got nothing in your life apart from football, anyone who can kick a ball into a net is a hero

i wouldnt say the miner is a hero at all. The rescue workers who got them out and more importantly the rescue crew who went into the mine are the real heroes
