this may upset some, however...

... does Carrick even know how to tackle? Scholes was far superior to him in that area. Every time Carrick moved towards an opponent, he just streched his legs and made them run past him. He was by far the worst player out there.

every time scholes went to tackle i expected a foul :p he was quite poor and gave alot of freekicks in that first half. Second half I forgot we had central midfielders they were non-existant. Dont know how fergi said scholes was our best, other then he the only one you saw now and again from the midfield. rest were non-existant.

Carrick is a decent enough tackler, but not as strong as some our midfielders. Personally I feel our best midfield is the following

Nani/Ronaldo on wings. Young, fit, fast and hard to keep both quiet.
Hargraeves the closing midfielder
Anderson the slightly more attacking midfielder, running the show further up the pitch by providing passing options
Carrick/Scholes the deeper lying playmaker, picking out the passes and collecting of the defence.

This season we have shown that with the players we have, the best option is 4-5-1/4-3-3. Something fergi always tried to play before but didnt work out. Now with the extra youth and pace it is by far our strongest tactic.

But Carrick didn't do shit. Surely it's better to have a man who atleast goes for the ball.

last night he done very little, but in general carrick is superior to scholes in the tackling department. But then a blind man better then scholes in the tackles :p

Its players like Carrick, Brown, O Shea etc that make united so great. Players that are happy to be involved in a squad rotation system, give their all when selected and dont moan when not selected.

I still dont get why that makes them so great. Carrick didn't give everything he had, unless he's in a worse shape than Michael Moore.

Havn't seen Messi enough to compare him to Ronaldo but I'm not sure I'd give the award to someone who has been out for 6 weeks (if I was in that position).

if i remember rightly he was out quite a bit earlier in the season as well... Messi actually is regularly hindered with muscle injuries... and with reason.... as a kid Barcelona pumped him full of growth hormones as they felt he was to small to be able to become professional, but with all his skill they wanted him. So that was their solution.

A myth. He actually had legitime medical treatment for hormonal problems he had as youngster that threatened to stop him growing. Barcelona were willing to pay for the treatment because his family couldnt afford it, which is why he signed for Barcelona.

They paid for it, without which he wouldnt grow, and without which he wouldnt have been signed. Yes there was a medical reason for it, but the fact is without the hormones he wouldnt have been signed by them. And it is that treatment that makes him more prone to muscle injuries.

The way you posted it, made it sound like Barcelona did something untoward lol

If anyone needs growth hormones its Bojan. Whilst one of the most talented players ive seen since messi, he needs to bulk up a little

Aye, I realised it wasnt the most well posted thing. Though I do have issues as to the reasons they did it, he did apparently need some sort of treatment anyways.

Bojan size may actually help him, sure he wont get the headed goals often, however it helps him with his style of play due to being able to keep balance easily. And there really is no need to put too much weight on either, will only slow him down :)

Carricks tackle in the box when Etoo did Ferdinand was the equivalent of a goal.
Scholes give the ball away most of the night along with lots of pointless freekicks.

I've had it twice, it's a fairly nasty thing I wouldn't wish on anyone.

RIP to her.

Christ mate, that can't have been fun. :( My mum has had pluracy 3 times and that was bad enough, can't even begin to imagine what full blown pnuemonia is like.
