After a spell with this a couple of months back, I've decided to pick up the retro sylee once more... and I need recommendations for games... what are your favourites and why?

Defender for the Beeb and Elite for the Speccy cause they kept me out of mischief as a teenager

N.A.R.C. is good in a "photo-realistic" stylee!

I like Bad dudes Vs Dragonninja.

Shinobi is good but the sequel "Shadow Dancer" is even better.

Thunder Cross 2 (Thunder Cross1 doesn't work right) is the dogs bollox for shoot em ups.

PacLand is great for joystick knackering fun.

Oh...thinking of that get HyperSports too.

Mame supports the CPS2 (Capcom) games now so go for Alien Vs Predator, Street Fighter Alpha series.

R-Type Leo is pretty good too.

There's loads. I haven't played for a while but I really should....

NARC is an awful game.

Nichibutsu shooters are great. Dangar and Terra Cresta.

Wardner is FANTASTIC. So is Wonderboy in Monsterland if u like a bit of RPG is your games.

Robotron is the mentalist game ever if you've got a good control method.
