Malmo grps

sooo, how does it work these days?, i normally play hib/exc and i have heard that malmo is a bit like "the fins grp," with a list and all, but...

I need some details -

- I have heard that there is 2 grps running all day, one with a balanced high lvl grp and a 2nd grp with mixed lowbies, is this true? if so, what are the level range of the 2 grps?

- How do you get there lol?

- Is there any chance my lvl 40.5 healer can join these grps?

- For how long do ppl normally wait to get in the grp?

- At what time do these grps normally start?

Uhm.. I think that place is dead.. Unless you have a lvl 50 SM (+leecher) or have friends who will have a private PL session there, its not easy to get in. I tried get in a list twice for about 1 month ago and couldnt get in a group for 2 days in a list the first time, and I was 'lost' from the list the second time, and decided to xp the standard way. But you can allways try..

The latest info I heard is that you need to get up before 6am(CET) to find a list holder then hope to get invited sometime during late evening if lucky.

u need a lv50 sm to get on list

once you ask to be put on you get asked class/level and leech char (amazing but true)

it seems to be the same people day in day out there and same people with the list every day

malmo used to be fantastic xp and i used to like it, but now its just dead.

Why dont make your own group then?

The group that is there takes all the mobs as they are obviously gonig to farm better than you, then they also take your key classes if they need them. Im not saying its impossible to make groups at malmo but your best bet is going to be DF.

malmo is a good place to exp in from lvl 5-50

Taking a tank in malmo pbae group is like a tank inviting a lvl 20 char killing trows in spindel they do about as much for group.

My friend Trolliak made 46-50 solo with bb realy fast in spindel before our sm was 50.

Aye, that is a very good way .. but it have a high cost. YOU HAVE TO GET UP EARLY!=!"/(!!!!11
Soloing at lvl 49 can seem like a pain in the ass... but after a few hours in spindel or another "good" place will give you a few bubbles, so it will only take 2-3 days. Then don't forget - quests for teh win!

Normaly Lair spot is not taken. It have lately seem like people are afraid of it for some reason. They only want to exp at Yar with fg+ (something that isn't ideal if you want the best exp). So the easiest way to exp is to make a group and go lake/lair or any other place that is good to exp at. There are alternatives for Malmo even not many seem to use them!

not all have bb...yet

so i have too w8 for df too level my skald or maby find a group in spindel that is hard.

they wont nerf this kind of group or atleast not because of this. Focusshield got nerfed, because it allowed a few people to kill high level mobs. Which wasnt the design, now here you got 1 fg killing around lvl 60 mobs. So except the lack of tanks there isnt anything weird, but it probably is ok by mythic as who said you need tanks to kill stuff?

Btw focus pulls at hibs fins will get nerfed i guess by the focusshield nerf in 1.65g (where agro is shared between caster and pet). Not sure how it will effect them, but they might have trouble now keeping agro on the pets?

Oh yes, you normally focus them down to 50-70%, then pbaoe the crap out of them. That won't work now, you get aggro after first pbaoe. Yikes.

At yar you dont do focus pulls, you just pbaoe the hell out of them

Is the H-group over there still running? If it is that should be perfect for your healer. Used to be like 38-43 (lower for seers) in H-group and 44-50 in "real" lairgroup, but that was a while ago. Really amazing exp, but you usually had to get up real early (as previously stated), and even then it's not sure you'd get into group as they might need a different class etc. I made 50 without a single tour to lair, Trollheim and DF with guildgroups and diamondsealhunts respectively is highly recommended :lol:
