Making a Thid Group

I have spoken to several people who for various reasons have given up on "grown-up" rvr (myself included) and play thid mainly.

I am looking to form a regular group of likeminded individuals for thid fun. Dont want to be leet but just play well and KILL!!

Will adjust group structure according to the numbers interested duo, trio or anything up to 8man.

I'm thinking this setup is good, please suggest if u think different or would like to play a part.

1. mend/pac healer
2. pac mend healer
3, 4, - zerks 24 wep/23 LA
5. shammy 17cave/rest aug
6, 7 - supp SM's
8, Skald

I dont mind what part I play in this, just wanna have fun.

Hibs are not 1 bit better than the albs or the mids for that matter.
hib fg's or zergs seem to go out of their way to kill soloers. Appart from TB ofc.

I like this idea, stopped playing thidranki blitz on hib/excal because of the fact that there was not much that would keep a fg or just a little less occupied for long enough, I then moved to alb/excal with a mate, if this goes ahead I might just start playing again, and create a small group whose only purpose is to fight against you

Thanks to all for the posts and the PM's in game.

Seems we have a fair bit of interest in making such a group.

1. mend/pac healer

I believe we now have the healer rolls covered with chronic and Tsel. Hakoir im hoping will fill 1 zerker spot. Cynical plays shammy (dont worry bout gear).

So this leaves 1 zerk, skald and 2 SMs free. i can fill skald or zerker spot but ill hold out on that decision until we have the rest filled.

Just to let u all know, we now have every crafter covered and plenty of funding so expect to be running full SC, alch and of course buffed.

Staffzor - M8 that sounds like a challenge get your group together and and i'll c u in thid. your gonna have a hard time against us as I know most that have signed up are damn good players (rr5+ end game).

One last point - the purpose of this is not to kill soloers at all, it is of course to have fun and challenge the zerg might of albion

Just 2 SM's (or other casters) needed and we will be good to go.

I strongly believe that with a good pac healer sprit bombing is the most effective set up to have but if peeps want to play other casters/specs then I have no problem.

Cmon casters, have a set of AF30 99% cloth just waiting to be filled

As I have a Zerker already made, I will fill zerker 2 spot so we now have 6 peeps.

I will be online every weeknight this week (prolly not until 3am like last night, damn im tired) so PM me and we can discuss whats needed to be done to start. Hoping to be rolling within a few days...

Oh 1 last thing..

It was suggested to me last night that we form a guild for this group. While I have no problem with this idea I know some of u have established guilds already. please let me know what you think of this.

I agree, you do get your fair share of /level 20 pet spamming theurgs, but there is also a greater number of twinked and good players in thid these days.

If you think otherwise the you you must be playing another game...

Last night for example, I ran in a semi twinked group all night with a fair bit of success, mainly fighting the alb caster zerg and a rather good hib group (bard especially, /salute). I dont recall once saying to the group "Sod the hibs, lets look for soloers to kill".

Do you want a constructive post? Ok, thidranki is a nice place for 1 vs 1 fights, they are easy to find, try that.

Seems to me that quite a few people in Thid are using opted gear and are well SC twinked. If there are organised, well equipped, groups running in Thid, it only encourages other realms to do the same. Thid is good fun when you have good groups running from all sides and it is a challenge.

Be cool if there were 24 people to make 3 FGs, 1 from each realm, and battle out amongst the other Thid players. Would add a degree of drama and focus to the efforts of each side and make things more fun for everyone.

I have a Skald (Pixiered) and a RM (Pixieyellow) in Thid - My RM is capped but I am still able to play it if needed - I can normally 2 bolt blue con enemy with it.

Ok guys, things are getting rather interesting and i think we are almost sorted in terms of Group Make up.

I am taking the advice of Tsel (to some degree) in terms of Group set-up, so here goes.

Here is what we have:

1 Healer pac/mend - TSEL
1 Healer m/p - Chronic? (althouth I think he is pac/mend)
1aug/mend (celerity) tbc
shamy with end buff - Cynical
1 Skald - Zern
1 Savage/Zerk - Me
1 Zerker - Hakoir
1 Runie - Pixieyellow

It's good to see Prox and others that posted with some good old 8v8 spirit. Carry on like this guys and there will be no more thid zerg , just fgs.
