Magi types in Hib stop dealing out and using dmg shield!

Dmg shield must be the most useless spell around. Its impossible to root a tank chasing you becasue as he hits you the dmg shield brakes his root. So plz stop using this crappy spell, and on a 2nd notice imo more disease from mana elds in open rvr. It rox.

personally I'd see determination + AoM + resist buffs + SC as being the problem here...

It also breaks mez, so make teh bards stop whining about breaking mez (hihi shazz!1!!!!) and I'll cast it more
tho I do anyway.. just coz I like breaking mez

but honestly.. who'd play an eld instead of a chanter?

sad that I get asked to bring my RR3 chanter to groups rather than my RR5 eldritch

There has to be a point where disease can be cast.. its really good. Learnt it the hard way from NP in emain. They use it EVERYTIME. Its really a pain for the healers and snares u and decreases ur str too. Imo gogo desease. Cast it perhaps 15-20 secs in the battle.

there has to be a way to get desease into battle... cuz it is really underused and it is really a great addition. Half healing rate really eats healers mana. At least mine.

in 95% of fights i will not be able to cast a spell after 10 seconds (unless i use moc)

if i could keep range and wasn't targetted so quickly, then i could cast disease 15-20 seconds into the fight and it would be great, unfortunately interrupts make that pretty much impossible

i still use it when i can tho

ae disease + ae snare is something i'm looking forward to in 1.62
throw in a few crits, and it should be pretty effective CC against tanks

I agree strongly. Damage is crap, and it break root.

But.. take the time to explain this to new mages.

I can remeber when Boni first hit rvr and I felt well guilty if eveyone didnt have a damage shield on, its not the most obvious thing in the world. Most mages are more than happy to never cast this again once its been explained to them calmly and logically.

Disease is a PAIN for healers! A insta who normally would give like 1k hps back on a tank only give him 500.


start using it imo

disease lowers weaponskill for about 300sh, snares and halves heals. it simply pwns.

btw sumwhat its bugged and u dont recover weaponskill when it wears off, u need to re-wield ur weapon so game recalculates weaponskill. annoying thing yes

Only seems handy for soloing when tanking a mob to death when its on 1% health or less
