This is how the encounter works and you can FORCE the spawn

There can only be 200 snakes in the zone, if there are 200, MS will NEVER pop.

To resolve this Kill the Snakes, kill around 20 of them then return to any location with mobs, load a level 20 toon on, go suicicide him, theres a small chance instead of a snake popping your get a HISS. Rez and repeat. when you get 9 or so Hiss's the boss will pop.


So basicly scalars will never pop unless people die

and i did it 3 days ago btw , or was it 4

Done it a few times the last 2 weeks, last night was the last one though. got it on all the chars i need it on

another tip we noticed the other night while trying to pop the 6.1 snake... if you or your suicider die TO a snake, it seems to have a greater chance of popping a new snake, either visible or invisible...

Well, ofc I am not checking 24/7, but it used to be up way more often, that's for sure .

Did scalars today.. suicided a lvl 20 toon 3 times before it spawned xD
