"why 44 2h" i hear u ask "the 44 style chains from fumble" bah @ u, in a future patch, 1.50 i think or maybe a 1.51 the fumble style is changed to a rear positioinal style and the 44th style still chains from is =)) RAH =P

"why the low defences" why bother with high defences as a 2h pala that will spend most of his time grouped? 2handers automatically get a guard from a shield user =) so screw defence for me =P

32slash(or there abouts) auto slash all the way then dump everything into it at 50 =) also no defences tho =(

Lvl 50 spec for a Paladin should be to delete him and start an Armsman

Seriously, it's good to have armsmen in any group - but Paladin's are the ultimate in group friendly tanks. They can also solo very nicely thank you, with good use of twisting they can solo oranges quite well.

50 chants- waste of points
46 or 48 chants- have chants this high...or be a gimped armsman
42 shield- SLAM MAN! this is a life saver against any enemy
29 slash- the only style your use in RvR if your 1 handed slash
39 2 handed- Best 2 handed style by a long shot

Truths about paladins

1v1-
After 1.50 we can take down any melee class apart from warrior
Being a paladin is all about tanking hits
After the enemy run out of enjur u win the battle...you just gotta kive that long :)
Use tacktics like engageing a zerker when he gos bear mode or slam him
Twist all 3 chants to gain HP's against them

Group-
Assist a merc :)
alone you are nothing....

It might be a boring class (one could argue all melee's are in this game) but i do enjoy hitting for the same damage as you do 2Handed ;P

Your weapon skill is about 30% less than that of the armsman and it directly translates to lack of damage output :)

Dishing out the most damage in the shortest amount of time is what it's all about. Chants are good in uninterrupted 1v1 situations where you get all the time in the world. Or in PvE - noone argues that pallies are kings on that field. In group combat you just need to drop the enemy really really fast.

So you heal 45 pts (?) every six seconds, in that time i (or any armsman for that sake) will have dished out 150+ more damage than you. :p

In the end we're all rp cows tho ;P moooo! :m00:

personally i couldnt decide how to specc.. so I went pretty high on them all :p

i agree with the chants tho, i took mine to 46 which i think seems like a good lvl to leave it at. you get best dmg chant and best healchant.. and 3 resists to 20%.. good enough for me :)

Slash.. well i wanted to do a little dmg so i took it to 44 for the sapphire slash.. dont know if it was worth it but i use it the first thing i do to make the twats bleed. after that i go amethyst, and riposte/befuddler when chance given.

Shield to 42 for slam.. tho i almost never use it.. i think its very overrated... the damage isnt that good, and after stunning a bastard you can only fit 2 strikes in the stun time.. on a yellow i think.. might be wrong..... anyway it sucks endurance like nothing else so thats why i dont use it much. if anyone could tell me why its so damn good and when i have proper use of it pls do :p i like my blocking skills tho so im happy i went this high with shield.


parry i took to 3 or something.. :p oh well..... i parry atleast a couple of strikes in all battles anyway.. it feels that way.. tho ofcourse if I was 2H i would go lots parry since it works as shield...

The amount of times a slam has given time for other albs to join in the kill of an attempted running target or saving my bro Nomercy's ass when his root is resisted. Gives him enough time to pull bk and continue casting.

It gives me the oportunity to get the target down to at least 50%, which by then, a chance of a get away is slim than if i had only started slashing and the target runs from my slow gimpy body when its at 80% still.

slams okay
9 secs seems like forever in RvR
also if you get a slam in on a Caster they are quite dead(or assasin or archer for that matter..these class's can't really take the hits like a fighter)
