I've just finished The Hades Factor by old luddy and Gayle Lynds. Imo it's quite an easy read, but the general idea of the book has been done to death. I like his older work far more than the new stuff. Any thoughts?

Used to read all of Ludlums stuff (started with the Bourne Identity years ago).

Got fed up with it after while - started to get same ole same ole.

Moved on to bigger and better ;)

changed to

David Gemmell
Terry Goodkind
Robert Jordan.

A bit diverse from Ludlum, but enjoyable all the same.

For something refereshing, you could also try

David Baldacci (sp)

Ludlum used to be one of my favourite authors. Bourne Identity, Matarese Circle, Holdccroft Covenant all excellent books, but like you say, since he died his books have got a bit boring. :)

I have read some excellent books by Nelson DeMille lately.

Plum Island
Lions game
Spencerville
Charm School
Up Country
were all good

He also wrote Generals Daughter which I haven't read because I've seen the film.
