Share the love ?

How many people have you hugged today ? How many do you plan to hug tomorrow ? Should you have hugged more people ? Do we generally give enough hugs ?

so...
wich type are you ?

Pat on the back, an acknowledging Nod, A grunt or a Hug ?

Haven't got to the nod stage yet. Not evolved that far. A grunt followed by a fart suffices for me.

usually shoot a smile to the right person. usually invokes them smiling and that makes everyone feel happier, well at least it makes me happier if someone smiles back.
we should hug friends more imo.

Until they steal from you or try to hit on your girlfriend.

In a nutshell.

I've got two friends who i can trust, others have to work helluva lot to gain that.

Really?

A "friend" of mine decided to steal money from me.
A (atleast)3 year old best friend of mine decided to hit on my girlfriend.
And so forth...

Try it, let's see how pessimistic you become.

I'm not saying i won't consider someone a "buddy", or some such term, but to be a real friend, they need to work, as much as i work back ofcourse.

I'm not pessimistic towards other people, i give the benefit of the doubt, but it doesn't mean they are friends or even that i trust them.

been there, I've had people do that to me and worse, but i refuse to let them define me or my view on other people, since if i let that happen i let them win, "at least in my world" and tbh they arent worth my effort or time"

I generally trust people, that dosent mean i trust them blindly, i'm not an idiot! guess the way i look at it is, I choose to see the positive in people until they give me a reason or a suspesion not to.

Anywhoo, seems to me we'r getting off track here, The thread was sharing Love, being kind and Hugging, not who Burned you in the past thread, or how do you define friends thread :p

So you've had your best friend, who you've known for years, the one you trust most in life, one you would tell anything and everything, one you know would die for you in an instant...stab you in the back in one of the worst ways? And worse? Do tell.

Well, more power to you.

Like i said, i can give the benefit of the doubt, but friends and trust thing, whole different ballpark, that's earned with time.

About it not being a "friends definition" thread, it's included. Wouldn't be much of a thread with people just saying "i hug!" "me too!" "I don't!"

wont go into private details on a public forum, but yes,

and well yes sure, i trust my closest friends differrently than mear aquaintancies,
after all there are degree's of trust.

My problem is when you instinctivly distrust another person simply on the grounds of what someone els did to you then I see a problem. since your then transfering, wich basicly is unfair to the the new aquaintance...if you see my point ?

I don't distrust, i simply don't trust, which is merely the logical thing to do.

Not saying "you will lie cheat and steal!" to new people, but not giving them trust before it's earned. Especially after you've been f*cked over by even close friends.

Trusting someone you just met, is not wise, and gets you, 9/10 times, f*cked, and not in a good way.

Trust has to be earned in my book. Been fucked over in the past. There's enough ppl out there who will try to take advantage the second you show any sign of weakness or vulnerability. Its a shame, but thats what real life is. Certainly for me in South London anyway. Can't speak for anyone else on any other part of the globe.

"A stranger's just a friend I've not met". Bollocks. Come to Stockwell or Peckham or Brixton or Clapham and see how long that attitude lasts LOL
