This is a copy of a post on our guild pages, enjoy!

Lotr 3:
Outlaw, Gunnerr and Aussie are standing in front of the dark door at the path of the dead.

Outlaw: I'm not afraid of death <moves inside>
<Gunnerr and Aussie following>

The scene, a big cave with a city in stone, a ghostly king (Zoyster) is appearing
Zoyster: What are you mortals seeking here?
<armies of undead are arising, blocking the entrance>
Zoyster: The way is blocked HAHAHAHAHA, only the king is allowed to enter this realm
Zoyster attacks Outlaw with his sword
Outlaw parries the attack
Outlaw: I am the returned king and I bid you to help my armies. My zerg is not big enough to steamroll the mids and they are using radar tools like "the one eye". Even worse, they sent out the Nazgul Patrol to make their armies stronger.
<Outlaw starts moving around>
Outlaw: What YOU say?
....
Outlaw: What YOU say?
Zoyster: Will our oath be fulfiled if we help you zerg Minas Tirith?
Outlaw: Yes, Zoyster, thou shall rest then.
Gunnerr: Do you really think we should trust these guys Outlaw? My Soldier's Barricade and my IP is up and combined with some Bunker we should be able to win.
Aussie: Gunnerr my friend, you forget perfect Recovery, we really need Zoyster's 10fg.
Zoyster: So it shall be. After the release of ToA in about 10months we will be able to come by ship, so let us spam Barrys World in the meantime.

final notes:
Gandalf is a cheater: he can spec in blades, staves, dual wield AND light magic
Aragorn is a cheater: we hear that he was a ranger, which means he must have stealth. As he wears a 2H sword he must be a norseman hunter. So either he cheats cause he wears plalemail (at the end) or he's just an Armsman who cheats stealth.
Angmar (the Nazgul boss) is a cheater: he uses a sword in the right hand and a flail in the left hand and wears platemail, which means he uses abilities from 3 different classes at once (armsman/pala + merc/infil + reaver)
Denethor is a cheater: he attacks people from his own realm (actually he wants to burn his son)
Legolas and Gimli are greedy cheaters: they are using one horse for two persons, thus saving 5s per ride (each of them).

uhhh.......I'm TEH sorry for calling the original post "LotR 3". I've read the books 2 times now, starting 3rd time now. But tbh, a little "3" is much faster than "The return of the king" . the_fnord, you sound like an ickle child with that. I don't suppose you say the full name when u talk with your friends, would bore them to hell if half of the speech consists of the name of the 3 parts :p
Whatever, don't take it that serious with the names, it's the fastest way of telling which part u actually mean =)

I agree that the film was changed too much and therefore is really not that good :(

ok:
The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien consists of six different books. The most editions of this tale are separated in three books though:
book 1+2: The fellowship of the ring
book 3+4: The two towers
book 5+6: The return of the king

The story tells the final war of the ring and the ending of the third age, where the elves leave Middle-Earth to go back to the lands where they came from long ago. If you want to know more about what happened before, there is "The Hobbit" which tells the tale of Bilbo Baggins and gives more information about hobbits. The first and second age are described in the "Silmarillon". From what I have heared (I didn't read the Silmarillon yet"), it tells the tale of various great personalities and also of the former lord of Mordor (Morgoth if I'm right).

to ab_fluid, I wrote that originally. I got the idea while watching the film cause well....it just came to my mind at this moment =)

By the way, the "leader Nazguls" name isn't Angmar, he is just referred as the Witch King of Angmar"

He's real name is Murazor

dont read silmarillion. its not worth the time and effort. I myself love the LOTR triology but find Silmarillion rather weird. there are other better books about the Tolkiens Midgard... most of them, like silmarillion is based upon Tolkiens notes that his son has written down and published with commentaries. interesting to read if you are a fan of the books. but for some reason I found silmarillion utterly boring and strange. dont remember why though... might be time to read it again :p

I actually found the Silmarillion more interesting than Lord of the Rings, though I did read Lord of the Rings when I was quite young so I suspect some of it wouldn't have got through to me.

Actually Morgoth never used Mordor, that was Sauron's place. Morgoth set up shop in Thangorodrim, north of Beleriand, which was west of the middle earth of the third age. It was kinda trashed when the valar broke thangorodrim and cast morgoth from the earth at the end of the first age. Sauron legged it at that point ad set up shop down in mordor where he lived for a bit till the men of numenor decided they didn't much like him and conquered him. They built the towers around Mordor (Minas Morgul, the tower of Cirith Ungol and the two towers of the teeth at the black gate). Sauron took them off the men later though.

That's briefly it anyway. :p

Everyone who reads LOTR should naturally read the Hobbit and Silmarillion too. I've read Silmarillion 3 times so far and it's really good. Also The Unfinished Tales of Tolkien is very much worth reading ( well every book he has written is, got them all )

:)
