Lost Seed Quest

I have a bugged journal so couldnt see what to do after being ported to Bann for the 1st time and subsequently missed getting the jewel from the NPC - so off I went with the notes back to Droig to find they wouldnt take em... I returned to Bann to find the NPC to get reward and continue and I couldn't - so quest now ground to a halt - any ideas?

go back to ban diden and find the NPC.

The reward NPc will be very close to the point at which you appeared in the town, simply go back to the exact spot where you were warped too and ask all the nearest npc's, one will have the reward, then go back to Droighaid, hand in the notes and reset the quest.
