Lord of the Rings

Titanic did try to do the class war thing, but it boiled down to anyone with an English accent was bad and the Americans and Irish were whiter than white.

The love story was a load of bollox though, could've been written on the back of a postage stamp and has been done before at least a million times.

Anyone notice Kate Winslet's accent getting more Irish as the film progressed?

Titanic makes me psychoticly angry. It is the film I hate the most in the history of mankind. "I'm so posh, but I'm going to learn to spit, because that's what commoners do. And later on in the film, I'll use this life skill!!" :puke:

I'm glad the skinny runt drowned.

I'm sad the posh bitch didn't.

damini i completely agree with you about titantic.just american slushy shite sentiment packed up to please their irish population.as usual british ppl are portrayed as the bad guys.they didnt have any americans so just use an irish on the basis that he's a u.s. trainee.sometimes americans make me fucking sick :(
tdc you're right m8 you get first prize :)
i saw gladiator,it was ok but wouldnt a film with a cohesive story have been better?

No-one's commented on Agent Smith though yet? He's never going to be anyone else. Why should he try to be a 3000 year old elf? :/ Its just too hard to see him without wanting to giggle.

Heh, you 'do' keep on thinking he's gonna whip out a pair of bad-ass shades and go mental with his fists and a deagle on them orcs

Without doubt, this is one of the most beautiful films i have ever seen the scenery was like something out of Final Fantasy (good)!
Its a bit of a pain in the arse that the other two are coming out so far apart yet they have already finished them :/ Though, the effects were still great, the acting was also well executed and gave me a feel of immersion with the characters;) i simply cannot wait for the others to come out. True, the hours did fly by and the ending made me want more, but not to see it again because that may ruin it for me. Bring on Star Wars 2 in the meantime heh.

And does anyone know if we have to wait for all the films to have come out in the cinema for us to get this one on DVD?

Aww, don't say that! I hadn't even contemplated that awful concept...

SAWTOOTH - you are already spoiling my expectations, Im seeing this film tonight and the 'barrow downs' chapter was one of the wierdest parts of the book - well spooky - and now you tell me its been cut !

Oh well it will rule anyway, maybe they cut it because it would have scared too many youngsters if done properly.

Do you have to have read the book to understand it fully?

Not at all. It's a very simple story really, only the names and places have long complicated words.

Btw my Dad went to the same school as J R R Tolkien. Not at the same time of course...

My second primary school was frequented by the guy who later created the way of keeping the yellow and white colouring separate in Cadbury's Creme Eggs.

Is that better? :/

My voice 'appeared' in Shakespeare in Love, Titanic, Hackers, some foreign film called 'For My Baby' with Alan Cummings, and various BBC dramas including Common As Muck and some others which I have now forgotten.

I shared a Jaffa Cake with Helena Bonham Carter at Shepperton Studios. She's very, very small.

:p
