If you play the game to play the most hard-hitting mage-splatting class there is, you are a FOTM-player.

Some people play the game purely to farm RP's, they play whatever class their guild has set up for them to do, and enjoy it like that.

Some people play the game purely for leveling and roleplaying and should not be judged by that.
(kinda OT, but like to include all in this )

Some people play the game to be have fun and kick alot of ass, and must feel at the top all the time, these often make new chars to "pwn" with, most players are in this category i think (atleast me )

The only class i truly feel sorry for in 1.62 are Shadowblades..

1st char was hunter, Borhad and still 24, pure pain.

what feels pathetic is how alb/hib make us, who play laxe class feel dirty, mostly in Vhineboard, same time explaining how ALL this was needed for realmbalance, and before dust get down, moved to whine savage/bone.

personally dont care anymore, just have fun reading how some kid try whine, nerf that, nerf this, naming each other.
just hope same style dont come this board, here is sadly allready some signs.

What if "fun" means winning, hitting for tons of damage and gain lots of rp?

The only downside to having played zerk from the start is that you got so used to the damage you think everything else is bollocks and not worth playing.

If i see thanes, savages and warriors show sreenshots and say "omg nerf me" i'm thinking "i'd cry if i hit for that"

And by that u mean what? i have been a hib since day 1, the first time i played daoc i had never even heared of any classes, i was just into the elves and stuff, so i joined hib.

And hib didnt become overpowered until resistsbuffs, and RA's came to life.

And as i know it Klav(from other posts here), u dont play the game to hit for tons and gain lots of rp, u play it cause u loved it (and as we all, became a litle less interrested in it, and a little more obsessed), and purely for the fun of your class.
I understand that people become upset about their classes being nerfed, who wouldnt?

Are you going to use that sentence towards Every hib that comes with an argument?


If u play the game cause u love the zerker, u will continue playing the zerker.

If u play the game to " hit for tons of damage and gain lots of rp", you will prolly re-roll a 2-h savage or something (wich i think u already have done )


And u must admit you are not the first class that has been nerfed this much, There was a time an archer could one-shot everything


In one way i understand you, that Mid lacks almost everything in RA's ect.
I feel they should give the Healer some Decent BoF/GP/SoS-like RA.

Anyway, i am not going to go into the LA-argument again.

I dont feel LA should be nerfed as hard as it did, but as a fact, it is going to happen.

Lets just hope for a Mid-love patch soon.

I think you might've misunderstood the uber-bandwagon remark

I'm talking about everyone going into the la nerf with the argument that fotm's will get hit hardest. Which offcourse is utter bs because it's the people that played from day one, and like you didnt know shit about the game and the classes and were into the story mythic made up about the class.

I think you might want to reread some of my earlier post, never have i stated that i play the game for fun, nor because "the fun my class". Fun stopped 3 months ago and fun with gaining rp stopped one month ago

and fyi, i had a savage before people even spoke of 1.62 and i'm not planning to level it further

I've had a savage since day 1 of 1.57 does that still make me a fotm ?

The fact that my savage was 50 long before any savage whines even started to appear does that still make it a fotm ?

As for my zerker sure it was a FoTm, but not a class i play, got her to rr2L7 and got bored, the class just didnt do anything for me

My first char was a Norse Berserker, specced in Sword and Parry, deleted at lvl 8, that was before i knew about the bear frenzy

Then I made a warrior wich I gimped with sword and parry again hehe, and then I saw a man transform himself into a bear and it hit me, I was ment to be a bear..

Made a Troll zerker and well, had NO idea how to spec and didnt know a shit about the class so I contacted my friend Mattsing (50 zerk) and he told me 50/50/28

And as I lvl'd I got told that zerkers were VERY overpowered, and well, I understood that when I looked at the damage..

Well my point is I NEVER made my zerker to be play a fotm class and be seriously overpowered!

And now I think the nerf is needed, but not to the point they have nerfed it, but dont turn this into a flame post pls

I rolled a zerk cause they hit for so much, and alot more group friendly then my sb.

created my zerker as first character ever after reading the class descriptions from daoc manual, 99+ days /played and still enjoying the class i'm glad i didn't listen to the ppl telling me stuff like "berserker is gimped, roll a thane instead" when leveling up. nerf hurts but excal is seldom fun these days anyway
