Would anyone happen to have an old Western Digital WD400EB Protege 5400 (2MB Buffer) that they are no longer using. Could do with it to help recover data from a buggered drive.

If it's not entirely "need it now" let me have a look at our pile of drives at work - it's more than likely we do - wont know till Tuesday though

Had a good peruse, we've got every Seagate under the sun, and the only WD's we seem to have are 6gb and 80gb flavours with nothing inbetween :(
Will keep an open eye though - they come in all the time.

Laz, does it have to be an EB ? Had 2 x WD400BB's go through our systems yesterday but couldn't "acquire" them for purpose - looks like that's all we're likely to find.

i could try the BB - from what I can see there is not a lot of difference between them

if you can still get your hands on one
