It's unfortunate when people learn to type English from English people who themselves substitute numbers for words and miss out letters so they can allegedly type quicker.

He may actually be able to speak English ok but the typing he probably thinks is normal as there are so many morons out there who insist on writing this way. It's quite sad but such is life.
