LoL @ BDs

I borrowed my friends BD today and made a few runs in emain and also zerged some in odins in the evening.

I have tried most classes in mid and i must say BD is without the most flexible char i have played. The only thing they miss is a way to escape zergs when they solo, but hey which class have everything anyway?

I started out by being zerged a few times in emain, but then i got to amg and actually got to kill a few things without being zerged. And all of a sudden i saw the most hated infil(no not really but its fun to kill him) running away from 2 sbs, i chased after him and also sent my pets at him. Sooner or later i caught up with him, he was ooe so not really a problem. But when remi was at like 30% elajt joined the fight and i thought "omg, now im fucked". But no, i left the fight with 70% of my PoW left. Thats sick...what are you guyz? Elajt rr7 and remi rr8? And the BD i played was rr2 atm i killed you

And then i went odins, was quite tired so i just ran around solo looking for my guild group. When i find my guild group they are eating yellow snow after some hippies jumped them. Anyway, a resser comes by and resses a runie and a berzerker. Both are ressick and at like 30% HP when 6 hibbies arrive....it was a bit chaotic and the hippies was quite sure they would win or something i guess cause we beat em...Vintersorg(the BD) got 5 killmsg.... An unmarked BD can do veeery much damage veeeery fast. And those hippies got a feel of it.

Atm im standing at the boi spot killing wraiths...i nuke em till they get in melee range and then just beat em to death with my staff, without lifetap.... BDs are sick dudes and i like it

ive tried too PA+CD etc the 'the caster'...didnt work(well if he is unbuffed mebbe)


this time i tried PA+CD on the Commander, then switched and started too gank on the the 'the caster'....not good either


were commander buffed? were 'you' buffed? - I really didnt have a chance.

I know you've taken Ghoul out before at least twice Remi - And if I remember rightly you came straight for him.

Most lower RR infils think they have a shot at taking him 1v1, but it's too easy for the BD.

The healer pets couldn't keep up with the damage you dealt either I recall - unbuffed BD that is, yet healer-pets with natural BD dex/qui buffs.

btw: There is a good tactic for taking down a BD 1v1, and so far I've only ever seen Hibs using it.

Use diseas on the caster ?

From personal experience, all it takes to kill a BD is a well placed mezz on the pets. The pets almost never resist since they are always so low level. Mezzed pets = no healing. I think that's something that ought to be changed considering that you cannot root theurge pets. People might say that's overpowered because theurges need their pets to get by, well... so do BDs. Ever see a BD without their pets? I went LD in the middle of a zerg, logged back in, and got owned by a blue friar

The most disturbing thing was that I had been there for 3 hours before mirak and haden't got a single damn boi, well mirak comes with his borrowed BD and just guess what happend when he pull the third wraith, I turn around looking at him and then /s "HHIHIHIHIIHI, I got a boi"

And there I had been for 3 damn hours (11pm-02am)

I did some on him and then I went away to the broken tower or what it is and did alot of :wall:

And then I logged daoc and did some more :wall:

its been made clear ppl dont know how to deal with BD's, 1 aoe mezz and a few nukes on ur commander then ur fucked. people need to think instead of F8 attack/nuke

The supp BD is the nightmare of an armsman, paladin, or hero. 1 vs 1 the BD is king, but in RvR they are quite weak, especially at higher lvls. BDs do well in BG, but their efficiency goes way down after that. Especially now that sorcerers can hit you with an AoE mezz that has the range of a bolt, you're pretty much screwed.

my lifetap hits for around 350 when ppl arent buffed up the sky with resist and around 200 when ppl are buffed. The thing keeping me alive in a 1vs1 is not the healer pets ALL that much its the lifetap. Only pure heavy hitting tanks are able to come close to take me 1vs1 cuz i cannot heal up the dmg they put out. Seems like stealthers dont do the dmg that fast .. oddly ...

The life tap is nice, I agree, but I doubt that you could solo RvR without your pets. I went LD during a keep take and relogged right next to a friar. I still had my armour spell/pbt and dmg reduction spells on but no pets of course. The frair was blue and managed to kill me still, though I did almost kill him too At the time I had decent gear for my level. Not the uberest, and not the worst. Also, since this happened in BG3, I didn't have many realm abilities and I seriously doubt that the friar did too.

There's a difference between bg3 and lvl 50 rvr

Then show me a screenshot and a log of you soloing RvR with a Supp BD at lvl 50 without pets If you can 1 vs 1 someone without pets in Emain, I will be quite surprised.

Yes and therefor BD pets should only last 20-30sec before falling over dead. Thurgy pets aren't really pets, we can't control them once there cast, there really just long range DOTs that can be killed not cured. If a L40 BD can solo and L50 Pally then theres something very wrong with it don't you think. DB should have to chant to keep there commander active or only be able to summon one of each pet type. Mythic were clearly trying to remove the uselessness of pets (ie people going straight for the master because and leaving the pet) yet they have still not got it right. I'd like to see a new RA called pets rage whick activates on the dead of the caster and causes to Pet of Fight on for another 30secs.

maybe not a pally, but ANY caster can kill any puretank, just takes madskills.
