just watching a show on tv and theyre discussing how when your young you have these liberal, wide eyed optomistic views and when you get older your views turn to more conservative sides, this example really creased me up:

present day: they now have a son, this son is being bullied and last night the son was talking to the dad and the dad says "smack him one" mum points out the conversation of years ago and asks "but what about the bullies issues and understanding him?" the dad comes back with "Eff that, thump the wee bugger!"
made me chuckle any hoo.
