Login server down ??

Ofcuz you can reash the login screen - thats a program on your own computer.
Its not until you press "OK" and actually try to login that it contacts the login server.

The stuff you could get passed was the patch server afaik.

It should be pretty obviously that you cant bypass the login server. How would the game know who was logged in and show the correct toons?

I was stupid enough to log my bot outta cats client to try and load it up in toa client for better performance. I now feel stupid as can't log back in.

you know just turn off the advanced models in catacombs = toa

i get better performance with toa mode in the catacombs engine with 2 accounts running than running in the toa engine.

How much happier would you have been knowing WHY loginserver was down for a short while (aprox 1 hour).

Would you be more happy knowing A or B?

A: Servers burnt, but we quickly installed new loginservers and restored the account data

B: The servers crashed (computers does that once in a while), but we rebooted them as soon as we were made aware of the fact. Its takes some 20. min for the whole login server to be up and running again after a reboot.

(note that i have no idea of what happend, these are just examples)

From my point of view then it is only relevant for the players to know why it was down if
A: it was down for a LONG period of time - eg. more than half a day or so.
B: it keeps going down, with short periods of downtime to the anoyance of all the players.

Im just happy that it was up and running again around 1 hour after they went down.

I agree it can be piss anoying not being able to login, especially if you had to relog or went LD'ed on a ML raid.
