Middies can't match you. We miss the tactics but we can't admit that... Don't tell anybody about that!

When trying to take a merch keep some Mids still don't know what hits their heads that hard. They think catapults are something to eat and that they are hit by casters.

We miss many things. Many people, to be more exact. Most of our old leadersip is gone. That's what we miss.

As for tactics.. taking a defended keep is always been hard and there is well worked out tactical solution to it. You coming up with an idea of using several catapults is nothing new there. Problem is they are not worth the trouble. Took you better part of an hour to arrive at Bledmeer with what, 2 rams? Catapults are more than twice as heavy and take more organizing. By the time we had sent a significant portion of the force we had out to get these from DC and back, the rest would have logged.

If people seem to ignore yer sage advice, it is not neccesarily they who are idiots.

Catapults. Single important thing they can do in offensive siege is keep the inner door clear of casters. As of yet there has been no occasion the inner door has not been taken down with two rams working on it. Two rams are cheaper and easier to get to the field than numerous catapults.

Catapults

I think the point was that when you are DEFENDING a merchant keep, you can just buy the parts and build as many as you like in the courtyard to rain stones down on the attackers.

Aye. I must admit I went went through 2 catapults yesterday while holding Bled, and boy was it fun :))

I was extremely amused though when the mids finally got in and they destroyed like 5-6 trebuchets...surely it woulda been smarter to just take control of them incase we had come back to attack bled?? :)


Oh and, I don't think the time you attack is really his point, his main point is that getting past Hadrians wall and then logging out, only to log back in later without having to pass hadrians wall is weak....when we attacked you we still went through Odins...rather than logging out in the middle of Uppland..and then just logging in, and have a 2 minute walk to the relic.

I see your point, but even if someone would have a similar plan, i'm pretty sure it would fail anyway... Most participants would be what you can call "hard-core" players, so I doubt if they would be willing to log their characters for a couple of hours or so, meaning they can't play it meanwhile...

Well, don't matter what ya say, the fact of the matter is that we (Albion) have 3 relics of strenght, we took them from the "mighty" (and very cheating aka bug using) Midguard and the middys didn't even get close in taking them back.

Ooh, and btw: who where the Midds defending Caer Beno last Thusday when we took it back at about 1.30 CET bet ya had the fun of a livetime seeing that army heading toward ya? =)

Pfff, now that I look at it, ya aren't that powerfull.

why generalize midgard as bug abusing and cheating? albion and hibernia also have these.
and its ok to be happy about the relics just dont keep braggin over and over...you're gonna get it back when we lose them.

Why take the relics back when there are a few server downs in the near future (ie free repairs on relic doors) ?
When we just wait till patch is in and take relics and leave your Relic keep in tatters and you have to pay for the repairs :)

and as for the well why dont you take the relics back , erm HOW long did it take albion to take them from midgard??

once you have them as long as midgard did then you can start bragging :)

ahhh but the situation is very different. Midgard has already taken the relics before now, so they must have enough high level players to do so. Albion has been gradually catching up in levels, which is why it took us so long to get them back.... come on you middies... bring it on!!!:cool:

took you a darn sight more people to take the relics than i believe the Middies had when they took them..

and i was around for one raid (which means it was not late at night) and we still took them (was the hibbie ones though :) )

you had the levels not long after we did just not the guts ;) (Shameless Taunt :) )

anyhow joking aside , you must have had enough levels ages ago just not the organisation..

How many high level middies are hardly online anymore because they got bored? :)

Not anybody's fault but I think Midgard is actually weaker now than it was a month ago.

Ottar, I hereby officialy beg yours and those others who may have been offended by me pardon. I didn't meant to call you or others stupid. The thing we were doing was stupid. I have to admit that I'm kinda bitchy and sometimes I can't hold it back but I try. Give me another chance... I really love standing next to you big Trollie and repair your ram. :)

I see a big problem comming: You finally took the keep after how long? 3 hours? Most people who had been there continiously wacking the doors and getting farmed by the defenders logged before you succeded. What they expierienced was no victory but an unnessecary long fight with no fun an no success. I'm affraid that if this happens more often people with just don't care for large scale RvR anymore. They will lvl alts while you are begging for a few lvl 50 to reinforce you.

Catapults: I know it is not easy to bring such a weapon into play bcz of its pure weight. But I do not agree when you say it has no offensive value! A catapult damages enemie siedge equipment, doors and personal. Especially when taking a merchent keep where the defenders use siedge weopons for sure a single catapult could speed up the attack alot! KN yesterday managed to buy and transport one to Svasud Faste. We also have rams in Svasud so it won't take much time to bring the weapons to battle. The only thing you have to do is to pick a few people from the teleport pad and make them carry the parts. Our logistics suck bigtime! Sending people to DC for rams when the raid is allready in progess is unacceptable. This can be fixed just by the way KN does it. Store parts in the vault of one of your alts and hand them to people porting to the battle. The ram/catapult will be there in notime.

Again: Sorry for bitching at the chatgroup. :(

Its true most midgards cant follow orders any more, so hard to lead a raid when mids dont know where they are going but decide they want to take lead anyway.

And I have to agree that if you can get a catapult or two set-up while taking a keep, they would be massively effective, as there isn't that many places people can be in a keep, so jsut target them in courtyard, and you will be damaging a lot of people, on the front battlements..and once on the inner door, have it aimed there...the only problem would be getting the ground target set...but you could probably guess where it is if you set it from the outer door.

Did nobody notice our attempt to take our relics back at pretty much peak time..
Only trouble doing that is ofcourse the albs found out.. no way of stopping spies or word getting around. We didnt even once mention it on aaliance chat.
Anyway we had a rediculous number of ppl, maybe 100-200, really hard to say :)
when we finally attacked the guards, nobody could see what was going on and we were all over the place. I died pretty fast and didnt see what happened to the rest, probly same fate.. I doubt a peak time raid will happen again :(

What about a compromise.. make a raid early morning or something, and let the albs know about it b4 hand so they could get a small defence and make the raid fun and much fairer :)

we always have people in relic keep now and as soon as we hear about mids in our frontier,people start to gather for a defense so retakin the relics are gonna be hard :p

Creeping death er why tell them they seem to think they have thier frontier covered :) so no need to tell them :)

If they do manage to keep hold of themfor a month they will get bored of deffending and go back to xping :)

Maybe if we keep leaking info and get the Albions to get up early and stay up late , we can do a prime time raid as all of albion will be asleep :)
